but overall, good news from the shoot out?

Is everything else going ok and on schedule? I can't wait as I am really interested if the VTF-15H is worth upgrading too!!!!!

And I am sure everyone else is dieing of anticipation of the article.

Paul has tested all but the RBH sub which is due to arrive to him early next week. I am hopeful to get everything posted before XMAS but I hope by saying that it doesn't bite me in the butt if we slip schedule.

I'm dying to see how the HSU will perform. If its close to the PB13, then I might consider selling my ultra and purchasing two HSU's ;):D:eek::eek:

The RBH is this one actually

And yes, a ported design with 2000w of power, with a sub-tuning frequency high pass filter at least will be beastly. Not for adding extention like a sealed sub, but for excess headroom and output. Those TC sounds and CSS drivers that Funk uses love power and can take tons of it. What they lack in sensitivity, they make up in ridiculous low frequency extension and crazy linearity... barely any distortion just like the rythmik, except loud!

12" Linear motor Driver

That is likely a TCSounds LMS-R driver..... which will handle peaks of 4000w

These are amazing sounding drivers - extremely clean and can seriously put out.
That sub will set the bar pretty high
Hi Warp,

Have you had any comparisons of this driver to Kevin Haskin's designs? Primarily the Tempest X-2 (since there is only ~$15 in price difference). One of the things that I like about Kevin is that he actually posts some enclosures that you can build right away. I really wish TC Sounds would do likewise.

My experience is of comparison between the 18" Mal-X and the 18" LMS's, TC-2000 and TC-3000/Axis motor, and JL F112 - and now a Submersive HP.

The Linear motor tech is def worth hearing IMO... And IMO a step above the rest.

One can easily come up with a design for a box to suit the different needs you may have.... Its not that big a deal to design a box...

Maybe for the record you should update the FW12x from funkywaves because your no longer testing it with that Dayton SA1000... I believe...

Fwiw...those prices are in line with some of the higher end Svs or Axiom offerings sold here in Canada!

You have to consider, that while the prices may be similar, this product is aimed at people whose home theaters aren't 90 feet in the air. ;)
LMAO....:D. They're are accusing me of stirring the pot over at the Axiom forum....tsk-tsk, I'm not, but somebody else is...to funny!
