heys guys. lets have a discussion.

i have my condo on the market. and, it seems, it will be so for a while.
anyway. i will be getting a small house. obviously i do not know what i will be living in.
but it will not be large. most likely a 3-4 BR ranch, crawl space, attic. HT room will be somewhere around 19x12x8, hopefully larger, possibly smaller.

i am most likely going to be doing new subs, as i do not know how well what i have will work in the house. what i have now, i think i want about 6x the output. and what i have now are no slouches. i just want something that, how should i say, seriously KICKS *** !!!

of course, cost is an issue. but i think $2000 for, 1 more amp, drivers & materials could be the budget.
as i will have more room for larger cabinets = say 5'x6'x1' for just 1 side & i would have room for 2 of those. this would be the behind the screen area.
or cabinets in the attic !?
or ???

like i said, i am just dreamin for now. but i would like to have some kind of idea of what to dream about.

A pair of maelstrom 21's in a 850l box...

Now imagine two.

Although four separate and spaced subs would still have cleaner in-room response.

Alternatively, build a pair of huge tapped horns and spend less on drivers!!!!!

oh, that 120db. that is uncorrected on a RS analog meter.

IB subs. i could make a baffle for the ceiling, and use the attic ?
4 18"s aiming down would be pretty darned cool.

amps. please let me know what amp/power per driver would be needed.

Yes, but these would be amplifier limited and 100% distortion free. With 2000 watts poured into the pair, you would still be around 5 mm below xmax at 20hz.
