I thought you meant the crooked electrical outlets but I am most impressed with that Stabila and the subs look killer. I see that your window trim is white but the door is a natural wood. I'm guessing you're going to maintain the white trim though out the room ... maybe even the beams? Looks like a good size room that needs some nice theater seating. Nothing says couch potato like comfy seats.
All window and door trim is white, the floors are cherry, so being that the doors are natural we decided to stain them cherry with a clear coat two out of 12 are done, this stuff takes time,.The base boards will get white as well, now those there beams, I wanted a cherry stain to match the floors but she says no, I mean she said ENN OOO NO, so I said I would not paint this beautiful maple plywood white , so I said, en oh - no, ok baby .
Well she says how about a clear coat for now while they are on the sawhorses and we can think about it so I agreed, again.
The beams will end up white before Easter Sunday, I just have this feeling, too late for Cherry stain now anyway :(.
I want the seats but new speakers are the next upgrade, no doubt about that.I would sit on a bean bag if I could have some new top of the line Paradigms :).

Well I got really nervous today about the whole anchor system that I used to hold this mount assembly to the wall. I know this is crazy but I decide to take a look at the 1/2 inch toggles to see just what they look like inside the wall, after all this is my pioneer we are talking about. I looked around for my handy zip tool, a vinyl siding removal tool, I unlocked a 10 foot panel about 16 inches higher than the wall mount removed that panel (luckily they are between windows) then I removed the next four panels below that one, I cut the house wrap up vertically on each side of the wall mount and taped it out of the way then I grabbed the level , marked out a cut line , and cut out the sheathing in a rectangular shape. I then used a cats paw to pull all the nails and opened her up, after feeling around I found the all thread at this point I cut the insulation nice and straight, horizontally from stud to stud, I folded the insulation down and damn near fell off the plank, the toggles looked like junk, I feel they would have failed over time so I did it over with new all thread at the tops with a lock nut and washer set up, check it out :

Heres the level on top of the mount, nice.

This is holding the two footer on the face of the mount after I torqued the all thread all snug like:

If you notice the bubble favors one side in between the lines in the level it shows the unit is leaning back towards the exterior wall at the top, this was done purposely by me , my wall cuts on the side supports are proud by one eighth of an inch at the bottom wall side, which adds about 2 degrees tilt , I would rather have the top start out in that position as I am sure it will read perfectly plumb over some time due to the weight of the plasma, this pic will give you a better idea, check out the side trim, 3 inch band around the edges, kinda modern looking:

I completely sanded this piece and even used the 000 steal wool trick, it is now ready for a final finish and re-hang my panel , I thought I would do it today but I think I will wrap all of the beams first just in case one makes a run for it, Thanks and have a good Sunday Night, sawz.

* Half of the beams are in fact done as of this post, too bad I didn't start at the flat panel side of the room,

No accident; you just subconsciously wanted to perfect your technique before you came to the most important part. :p This is for a KRP500M perhaps? Did you say you have a Mono mount, and does it tilt already on its own? Slight downward angle of your assembly is an excellent idea.

If you have pics, helpful tips, or any tutorial on how you get such a nice finish on a DIY sub, I'd love to see it, even though I'm not doing that kind of thing anytime soon.

Thanks for the kind reply, I do have the tilting mono mount for the KRP 500M, actually the mount will do all the tilting for me the wood assembly that I built is tilting the other way to help with the load bearing, another words I have the mount about 2 degrees tilting back at the top, this will eventually read plumb over time and if it stays as is that will be just fine too, but I never want to see it tilt forward, that could get scary. I did a Kappa thread heres a link http://forums.audioholics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54551

I apologize for my short answer, you were commenting on the finish, it is actually a laminate finish in Bubinga, these are similar to veneers only a bit thicker so instead of coming on a roll it is sold as a sheet good, not quite as thick as counter top formica though, it goes on with a contact cement, instant bond than you just trim away the excess with palm size router with a flush trim bit.
Again I apologize for the short answer, have a good night jostenmeat. :)

Well to follow up Strongbad with the lazy bum statement I must say I resembled that post myself but I finally got some more done so here is a little peak:
Remember my one of a kind Plasma Mount, well we painted it instead of the natural maple ply here goes:

This is the first coat
What do you fine folks think?

another look:

Before I reply to any of your replies to pics I'll post a few more, remember the beams up in the ceiling, a quick look back will refresh the idea, well here are three sheets of 1/2 inch birch ply ripped to the desired width to start wrapping them:

They have three coats of Deft clear coat with triple 000 sanding in between each coat.

At first I was like, "Why the hell are you posting pics of beams, but then I looked back at the previous pics and see that you've wrapped them with this new wood. Nice, looks WAY better now.

I am only posting the beams because they are inclusive of the whole HT room updates / finishes / new additions.

here it is after two days and I just started the third coat check this out.

This is the third coat going on and after it gets raked with a wall paper brush dampened with warm water.
