Collaboration...the entire design team of those speakers has moved on. Just doing a spec's check at their website site..I'd say they cut some corners like they did with RC's when they introduced the CR's.... I'd still like to give them a listen...

I've lost interest in Energy since Klipcsh has bought them. They are no longer Canada's Energy. I wonder how much Klipsch interfered in Energy's design?

Looks like they took the RC drivers and shoved them into a different enclosure. Not sure how much effort they put into this series.

Your right the Vertias used a hyperdrive woofer those woofers are from the RC's(not that they were bad). One of the first things I noticed was how much less these Veritas weighted? The Veritas were build without compromise and if I recall the woofers were reinforced with a threaded rod attaching them to the back of the enclosure to reduce resonance or woofer vibrations... I doubt they did that....

Oh I don't meant to criticize the RC drivers - they're good drivers, as far as I concerned. But, if they're going to use the Veritas name, they shouldn't be playing games like that. I think Klipsch is trying to milk whatever they can get from Energy's name, without investing in the brand. Sad, really.

Klipsch is better at advertising these days than loudspeaker design. On their forum one of their engineers was saying the 55lb RSW-12 subwoofer was "far superior" to the 130lb JL Fathom F113

Its been my experience that people that brag have something to hide. In this case, I think Klipsch is hiding their own ineptness. They bought a loudspeaker company whose talent is far greater than their own.

Yeah, kinda like Cadillac packaging a low end Chevy as their Cimmaron model years ago.....people quickly learn and companies only damage themselves in the end....In this case, the prices much lower than old Veritas line, so very doubtful if they match up

I was wondering about their list price too. I paid $4,000 for a pair of V2.3i and a 2.0Ci back in 2004. The only reason I could think of is back then like the higher end Canadian speakers such as Paradigm, Totem, PSB etc., the Veritas were not available from selected dealers. Now I guess they are even available in Future Shops.

I want to give them a listen too but I am skeptical if they can actually sound better than the RC70. I really doubt they would.
