Yes, I said the Ultra was 90% of the DawgCrusher but I think the Ultra actually hits lower than the DC. Keep in mind that the DC was sealed and power limited by my amp. Also keep in mind that I had an equal amout of money in it as I do in one Ultra.

Adding the 2nd Ultra is a whole different level. The bass is so smooth and blended now and it is just effortless. The subs do not bring attention to themselves as a single sub did. They just set there until really needed and then they can knock you on the floor.

I am really interested in adding the AS-EQ1 subwoofer EQ. If it can get better than it is now, I have to hear that.

Driving up to Green Bay tomorrow to get my final box tomorrow morning.

Why do you say as long as you're not looking to add a third? There is a guy on blu-ray.com with 4 ultras, and 2 PB12+ subs all eq'd with a single SVS eq.

Yeah you can eq the average of the subs. Of course 2 ultras are more than enough for that room.

You can hook up all the subs you want to it, but that doesn't mean its right or will be EQ'd properly. Each sub with a different location and different distance will have their wavelength arriving at the LP at a different time.

It would be fine if all the subs were located equally..... Even SVS states this.

The Dawg has subs already in completely differing locations. And the wavelengths will be totally different. The SVS EQ is only setup to deal with 2 separate bands properly. Unless he flanked his TV with 2 subs and ran those off a single channel.

Yeah, it probably suits you well. Audyssey' Sub Equalizer is the same unit, but will perform better simply due to a superior mic (that you must purchase) in the Audyssey Pro Kit. This is only worth it if you're going to do the Pro cal with any Audyssey Pro capable receiver/prepro, IMO.

If you ever think of going to 3 or 4 subs, JBL's BassQ is the new thing, and people say it works great. This unit is actually even easier to use than the ASEQ1, so far as I know (doesn't even need to plug into laptop, or do I have that wrong?) A true plug n play. I believe it uses 4 mics instead of 1 being moved around, doing 4 sweeps, for a total of 16 measurements. The problem is that it will probably cost nearly double your price on the SVS.

I figured as much. I just wanted to let you be aware of your other similar options, and how they differ. In your particular case, with 3808 I believe, 2 subs max = get the SVS.
