I have an old Pioneer VSX-D2S for sale. I purchased it about 6 months ago from the original owner and my Brother In Law used it to drive the NHT 2.5's that I sold him until he could get his Denon.

Seems to be a powerhouse on the amp side and would make for a good second AVR or a garage AVR.

I would prefer a local sell as I don't really want to ship this thing.

Lets go with $50 local if you pick up. $3,000 if you want it delivered.

Can't you just give it to Alex for a case of Goo B Gone, I'm sure he could build a garage in no time, Mantown 2 :)

That looks like a great price on a decent old receiver. Maybe you should give your location for the local pick up.
(Of course, you'll have to relocate once Alex finds out where you are!)

I would like having that thing because of the bridge in the preamp/amp chain. I know I can't have it because of the distance/shipping but I'm still going to be jealous when somebody around there finally does grab it. Sh!t, I've paid more for rec'rs that don't work and it was still worth it for entertainment value alone.

I am not so keen on Craig's list people coming to my house.

I would put it in my garage but then I would have to buy some speakers from alphaiii and my goal is to never give him money as long as I live...
It would be gone on craigslist for that price.

NEVER have CL people come to your house. Meet them somewhere neutral and busy like a market or mall.

It's just not worth the hassle for you to pack and for me to pay for shipping or even worse:
for me to pay for packing and shipping.

Craigslist isn't worth the hassle for a few bucks. You're better off throwing that in a box and putting it on a shelf until you find somebody that's just getting started in this hobby. Sooner or later they'll come along and you'll be the guy who had just the thing they needed. :)
