So there's a episode of Frontline called The Suicide Tourist. This group called Dignitas is helping this guy off himself. He wants to listen to Beethoven's 9th as he dies. I just want to know if he got to hear it on a decent rig but they didn't show the system. They did show him dying though. I guess we all have different priorities.

Next time I listen to that I am really going to pay attention.

I had to look that up to see that it was Beethoven's 6th/Pastoral even though I have heard it before. I'm still struggling in my attempt to be able to identify even the best known classical music. The Wiki listing said that in the movie they referred to that as light classical. Now I need to look up light classical. To me Beethoven doesn't seem like light anything. Even in death this guy seems like a heavy.

He was one of the most influential composures and his works greatly influenced composers from the romantic period.

To get a better idea of the music of the times...take a quick read through this. It will time line the evoultion of classical music...

I saw that in a theater when I was 10 years old on a school field trip. I was the only kid in the class that didn't like it. I'll give it a rent and see how I feel about it now. Thanks for the tip.

EDIT: Netflix availability: Unknown
