I think once you get the paint on it, those seams won't be noticeable anymore. What kind of paint?
The seems are gone now. Too bad, I kinda liked them. It's all the blotchiness that is still hanging around. The edges of MDF suck up paint like crazy, but not uniformly. It gets a little better with each coat. I've been using minwax brand from Lowes.
First I used a primer and painted with China red. That's what you see in that pic. Then I gave it a coat of red oak and it looked horible. That's when I sanded it to bare wood and started over. It then got the wood filler. Then a 50/50 mix of yellow glue & water. Then red china, red oak, red mahagany and then 3 clearcoats. This weekend it will get red mahagany again, then red oak and china red. A few more coats of clearcoat and then I'm done no matter what it looks like. (although there is a textured paint I might try) All the sanding is getting on my nerves.
