and canton movie 102 cd 5.1 digital sound system .
everything is correctly set up and everything works except there isnt any sound at all from the front L & R speakers ?

i'll try and make the point again here .
everything is connected properly all the cables to and from the speakers and the correcet channel for listening to radio /tv/dvd player/TV ..

First thing to do is a battery test. Take a 1.5 volt cell and connect and disconnect it repeatedly to the +ve and negative of the wiring to the left and right speakers in turn. It should go pop pop as you make and break the circuit.

If there is a pop pop to both then your receiver is at fault. If there is no pop pop then do the test directly at the speaker. If you get pop pop your wiring is no good. If no pop pop you have blown your speakers.

Tell us how you get on.

99% sure that what has happened is that you (or some small child) has accidently hit the A/B switch on the front of the reciever, so it has shut off the sound to your mains. Click it again and your sound should return. :D

Good point. Sometimes there is a very easy solution to the problem.
