If that's the case, then you're one of the people who are looking to hurt him and he knows who you are. He'll have more to say about this later.

He must have accidentally used a PC where he was still logged in instead of TADG. :p
Naww,he's just testing the waters seeing how many folks would welcome him back with open loving arms (without a hatchet behind their backs)

If so, it didn't seem like he got a very big turnout. Hardly shocking, at least if you have any sort of functioning connection to reality.

It seems to have disappeared, of course, but I got a look at the AV123 thread below before it disappeared. I enjoyed it while it lasted...

So long as you have Dane, Larry, and Cheese Whiz posting, it's all good. Good post by Quad! Now, will he be banned?

I think John is finally figuring out just what rat bastards these "Hugs and Humbly" folks in Longmont are really all about. He told me here that he could never accept my beliefs that Mark was a cold hearted lying conman and that his "persona" was all an act, but it looks like he could be coming around now. If I hadn't spent so much time last summer trying to get to the bottom of it I probably wouldn't have believed the level of deceit, malice and arrogance they were capable of either.

The incompetence of this organization and its administration is hard to overlook as well. ;)

So far, no. I suspect that he got an email or two though, asking him why he was so inconsiderate as to make such an unreasonably negative post when they are just trying to do their best. After all, we all know that you're supposed to call or email if you have concerns - the forum is there only for praise.

Oh, wait - maybe that policy would explain why there's so little activity in their forum! There's plenty of concerns (concerns about ongoing sub amp failures, concerns about the honesty of their "made in USA" claims, concerns about a dwindling product line, concerns about the real ETA for upcoming speakers that have been promised in the last six weeks or so, concerns about unpaid refunds, concerns about stolen raffle money, concerns about who the hell "TADG" actually is, concerns about the management team and felony indictments, concerns about censorship in their forum) that can't be posted, but not much to praise (pretty computer renderings that may never turn into real products, a few pictures of raw cabinet prototypes that may never turn into real products, and a remarkably thorough effort to discontinue as many product lines as possible without actually admitting it) that can generate posts anywhere except the classifieds. Maybe their own actions - both in lying to and stealing from their customers, and in manipulating their forum to try to suppress knowledge of those activities - have led to the current state of their forum!

In other breaking news, I must report with some surprise that the sky is blue, the sun rises in the east, gravity makes things fall at 9.8m/s^2 when you drop them, and Mark only lies when his lips are moving or his fingers are typing... :)

It is a lot of concerns, Chu. Just think of how many more posts they could have on their forum and how much more traffic they would get if they allowed them all to be posted alongside the positive posts! It could be quite the revival for their forum - all the old regulars return (assuming they are unbanned or create new accounts to replace the ones they pestered AV123 into deleting) and a return to the days when threads could jump from two posts to 200+ in an evening.

Good thread at head-case.org. I like the guy with a Ref2 driver for his Ref1 speaker. Maybe a better QA program would have thought to use white-out or perhaps print a new label to stick over the old one instead of settling for scratching the old numbers out and writing new numbers beside them?

Just a little reminder for our friends at VA321 who love to come over here and read these posts. This thread now has over half a million views!!! Oh yea, Baby!! :D

Well I received my daily dose of common sense for the day. That was an excellent read over at head-case.org.

This was TheMonk's posting on 10/19/2007:

Besides selling some stuff here and there, it seems I've been living under a rock. I just found about about all of this last night. All I can say is amazing ...

By this, do you mean the indictments and all of the shifty doings?

I personally want to thank you, Monk for the tabulations you did. Way back, when I was first looking into the raffles, I started tabulating the various ones that were being run. To say it was a lot of work would be an understatement, but then I found your summary at which point I stopped. It was a great, and I mean really great, effort on your part. I was able to use it as a springboard to other questions I had and it was invaluable for finding the various threads that pertained to the particular raffles so they could be archived. I'd also like you to know that some of the charities and law enforcement found the summary useful.

I love how it still shows his 9000+ posts by his name but when you click on his posts it shows 1.
For anyone reading this who:

1) still thinks that av666 hasn't been involved in a bunch of shady stuff
2) just stumbled on this and is trying to make some sense of it

Ask yourself why the successful founder and head guy at av666 was:

1) arrested
2) has only one post in his own forum. ONE!!!
3) is selling pretty much everything he has on the internet

Anyone who gets newly screwed at this point has only themselves to blame. Dealing with this guy or anyone who stubbornly won't denounce his firm or cut ties - current AV666 partners, even partners who now claim they never were, etc - well, "birds of a feather flock together" as they say.

Buyer beware has never been so appropriate.

I'm not sure if this is wholy true... Sure there's enough out there if you look carefully to raise some serious red flags, but there is also a lot of legacy information that might point a potentional buyer in the wrong direction. I'm not convinced that they are wholey to blaim. I think the blame begins and ends in longmont, and those who are activey working to defraud costumers.
