Its not a sub. It is a bass module and I doubt much good

What do you mean "bass module"?

It's note worthy that he would be using this in a nearfield setup with a pair of KRK VXT-6.
I have no idea what he is using it with. But to be a sub, I think it has to reach at least half of the last audio octave, otherwise I think the unit fits the description of bass module.

He will be using it for music 99% of the time at his computer, I'm sure he'll be fine with a "bass module". The KRK subwoofer is rated 34Hz on up to 150hz with 1.5 +/- dB. Compare it to the way most subs are rated, and it probably has useful output down below 30Hz, or better depending on position.

I have KRK VXT 6 on Auralex Mopads at ear level about 5 ft apart from each other (maybe more or less. I can't check right now.) with me as the apex of a sound triangle. My speakers go down to 54hz.

Would you recommend I get the dayton then? Something else?
