hi all. becoming a audiophile over the past year or so, buying multiple copies of different releases of the same album has become a task. for example genesis's 91 and 07 release of we can't dance and 2pac's three remasters of all eyez on me.

one question plagues me though. i'll use genesis's we can't dance original 91 release as an example. there's a uk, us, usa & canada europe, and japan release. are all of these releases identical in waveform? thanks.

I would get the UK one myself or the US,I have several Japanese releases that sound thin...I have heard this before with Japanese recordings........

I guess its recording dependent. From the few used vinyl retailers I spoke with, they say that the Japanese have the cleanest pressings followed by the Germans and Brits. Thats been their experience. I have a German pressing of "Billion Dollar Baies" by Alice Cooper on vinyl and its phenomenally quiet between tracks with good solid dynamics and resolution as the music comes to a full boil.
