I have a 2 year old 50" Panasonic Plasma 800u... which was never calibrated. I got it online from this shop.

Is it worth it to get calibrated now? Just wondering if the 2 years would make it not worth it...

THANKS!!

So calibration is not just for a new tv?
Calibration corrects your TV's picture in your environment. So the age does not matter as long as the TV is in good working order.

So I know I am moving in one year with the TV to a diff state... will i have to recalibrate it to the environment of my new apt?

The only reason you posted cause you saw the title... calibrating a 2 year old:p:D And yes calibrate throughout the life of the display to keep the best picture as it ages.

If you were to calibrate it now then move and the lighting in the room changes drastically then yes it would be in your best interests to recalibrate. This is only to keep the picture at proper brightness for ambient light in the viewing area. If i were you I would just wait till you move out save yourself some dough. Or maybe by that time you would want to upgrade its your call.
