Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Abattoir Blues and the Lyre of Orpheus. This box has two very different CDs by this post-punk beat poet. His voice is somewhat like Jim Morrison and some songs remind of a beatnik poem/rap, but with bigger drums in place of the bongos. This isn't always easy stuff but Cave is brilliant.

Mark Knoffler's "Ragpickers Dream" on CD. Very good recording and dynamic too. I love this album.
