Flash Gordon on BD in June

I LOVED this movie as a kid. Come on, the spaceships, the hot chicks, the ELO soundtrack, what's not to like? I don't know if it will hold up these days though.

Blah. I would be fine with the soundtrack (Queen did the whole thing not ELO ). The film was on cable a few months ago, and as much as I liked it as a kid, it doesn't quite hold the same appeal. It does have some nostalgia, but it is soooooo cheezy. I saw this in the THEATER >showing age<

That's kinda what I figured. But Princess Alaura, Yummmm. I wonder what that chick looks like these days.

Yes, I DID watch the whole thing when it was on though, so I guess that does say something It will have to be on sale pretty cheap for me to pick it up since I don't own it on DVD.

Unfortunately for an old movie like that, the Blu-Ray is not going to make it sound or look any better. What will they do for special features? "Which one of the actor's is dead? FIND OUT!"

Cheesy special effects in HD, oh boy! lol I did like that movie when I was a kid.

I only saw this as an adult, never saw it as a kid. Loved it. Really. Duh, of course it's cheesy! It's still a hell of a lot of fun.

But...really? We're getting THIS film on blu-ray? How about...I dunno, Apocalypse Now? The Incredibles? Jaws? Jurassic Park? Lawrence of Arabia?


Instead we get...Flash Gordon?

This film is a total guilty pleasure! I can't wait to watch this on Blu! I saw it in the theatre too, but I was only a kid at the time. I did see it again a few years ago, and yeah, it's super cheesy, but I'm sure we all have cheesy guilty pleasures that we cherish!
