To be selfish for a second here, what bothers me about this whole ordeal and leading up to it is the discombobulation of the audio community. I used to feel like I was part of something good, and now I feel like I have some speakers laying around that were paid with blood money. I also feel as if a community lies in shambles, and people that once came together for a common goal are going in other directions and losing interest. I used to go online and play around on the forums to kill time and bust some balls, etc... Now I don't even know where to go where I know and like the people anymore. I guess it's just as well since now I have more free time for other things. I am looking to purchase some new speakers and such, and I don't even know where to go now. AV457 is pretty much a skeleton of a forum with remenants of members, emotiva is all about the umc-1, TCA doesn't really have any product yet and a small following. I'm left with the big dogs such as this site and AVS, which I like alot, but I don't get that small community vibe that I came to enjoy.
I used to be a regular over there utill it was closed down. I have settled in well with the group here. They are a great bunch of nuts. Try the boring thread. Another place I enjoy, but it's much smaller, is http://forums.audioreview.com/

I just got an email from AV123 offering a pair of X-Statics and X-Voce on sale. Wonder how many they actually have for sale.

I just added 1000 pairs to the cart to see what would happen and got the following message:

Info: The selected quantity exceeds available stock. We currently have 25 items available.

It is surprising they told you that before they had their hands on your money. They gave up the game of taking prepays and then stringing people along until it is too late to cancel charges with the credit card company?

I actually made my first post over there today. I asked where the MFW manual was that I was promised way back in Nov 08.

I was told back then that it was "almost finished" and would be "ready soon."

Still in the proof-reading stage maybe?

Last we heard, it was "99%" done as of just a few months ago. That last 1% is always the hardest part, though.

I thought they were set back on writing the manual because the pictures of the veneer in the manual started to split? Or, was it that the spell checker kept hanging up on the use of the word "Humbly" in the manual? Hmmm ...

I requested and requested and finally received the "99%" completed MFW-15 manual. It is nowhere near 99% complete.

Really? I'd be curious to see that. I suspect that some MFW-15 owners would, too.

Thanks. Seems to have been written a long time ago. According to the document properties, it was created on 12/5/2007 and modified the same date. Plenty of references to Sean but it does come up with a picture of MLS and his granddaughter, Gracie, after her performance in the Nutcracker Suite. Nutcracker seems an appropriate word here.

If other MFW-15 owners are interested, I can get it posted online. It is clearly not complete, though.
