They lost me at the iPhone. Great at doing everything except making a damn phone call. You can play a game faster than access someone in your phone book.

Accessing your phone book requires higher skill levels, try to level your char a bit more - work on agility and concentration. At level 3 (gs) try again

I was kinda/sorta looking forward to this device but it is too large for me and I have no desire to buy one.
I love my ipod nano 4g and use a Sony 505 ereader every day...love it also. I was hoping the ipad would be smaller...I'd say 5x7 would be perfect for a carry along device...plus all the features of an ipod touch and the benefit of an ereader would be perfect for me.
Alas not so...just too big...too expensive for the feature laden model...too large unwieldly to carry around on a daily basis...may as well take a laptop or netbook and save a load of dough.

I personally don't get the iPad. I will be happy to be wrong, but it seems very niche and lacks much of what could make it truly cool and flexible. Unless Apple is going to redefine what a computer is and we all switch to using HTML5 apps and thinking our thoughts into the screen in lieu of typing, I think it's safe to say this will have a finite shelf life before it morphs into something more powerful.

Jobs' next keynote: "We listened to our users and now release the iPad 2.0. It has a USB 3.0 port, Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity and a new speech recognition system that takes dictation like... well... (curtain reveal of the iPad taking dictation of everything Steve just said, perfectly formatted)... unlike anything else ever made!
