18-150Hz vs. 28-120Hz?

It's just me, but, I love Definitive Speakers. Just their Subs don't impress me. The Klipsch I can't say.
I don't like their subs at all. Their specs are impressive for the super cubes but are highly overrated/overspeced.

Yes, as per my previous post, the STF-2 would be my second choice after the eD.
I ended up ordering the HSU STF-2 this afternoon. Hopefully by Friday of next week I'll be enjoying some old movies all over again:D I like the way it looks & hopefully the way it sounds. Thanks:)

Great choice. I use the STF-2 myself and it a great sub. Probably one of the best alongside the ED A2-300 for under 400.

I have a question for you. The sub is going to be in the basement on a pergo floor against the wall. That subwoofer comes with spikes right? Now do I have to put a small carpet under it, or buy little coasters for the feet or not worry at all. I think I read somewhere that those spikes will cause the sub to vibrate on the floor. Not sure if thats true or not. But if I need to do something about it I want to do before the sub arrives.

Mine is on a carpeted wood floor. I picked up 4 bricks from Home Depot which work pretty well.

The subwoofer is going to be in plainview when everyone sits down. I don't think bricks would look too good. I see ED offers hourglass instead of spikes for wood floors. Do you think I the holes are the same size? It's only $15 on their site.

Actually someone sent me a link to Auralex. Do you think the Auralex SubDude 15"x15" Isolation Riser will fit my subwoofer. The HSU subwoofer is 14"W 18"D I'm wondering if that platform is big enough for the feet to fit on. Doesn't look like it. I'm hoping maybe the location of the feet might just fit. Anybody have any opinions on that? Heres a link to site that sells it. http://truesoundcontrol.com/products/SUBDUDE.html?gclid=CJyYmq75qZ8CFWpd5QodkgQd1A I'm really hoping this will fit.

I just recently ordered an Auralex Gramma pad for my sub - it's a very good purchase, and even mine hangs over just a bit it's not a big deal. It has made definite improvements in the quality of the low end in my system, as I believe it will do for you as well. Enjoy that new sub when you get it!! :)
