No Water Pressure In Shower Driving Me Crazy!

Seriously, I have no life.
Because of the set-up in Phil's apartment complex all of the Tenant's hot water comes from a common boiler.
So when Phil took a shower with his restricted shower head and any other tenant called for hot water (washing clothes, showers, etc.) the water took the path of least resistance. This would be especially noticeable, the farther Phil's apartment is from that boiler.:)
Yes, so would the cold do that too. But, if I remember correctly, only his shower head was affected, not the other sinks in the house that had proper hot water flow. So, it is either the shower head orifices which would affect both hot and cold water equally since the two are mixed beforehand, or a pressure/temperature balancing valve, no?

Oh my bad. Actually it is both. Especially, when the water is warm.

I don't know what to say.
Since the diverter valve was checked, and his shower head was the only thing changed, and Phil is now happy.:)
I'll leave you to do the math.

I bought a shower head myself today. Price at HD was about half of that.

Notice the brand name?

Stay tuned, I'm about to get naked and wet. Detailed review coming up! :D

I gotta do my little drill trick on this one. It's been so long since I did it that I have forgotten how. My bits aren't here anyway but when I get a chance I'll be taking the head apart for some modification.

What will be the end result ?
Transparent , Quantifiable water pressure , but of course , :D

You think I should measure the volume of water with a 5 gallon bucket and a stop watch? ... with before and after modification gallon/minute numbers? Then I could use my grade 7 math trick to tell you what % the flow was increased by an oversized bore of 1/32" and 1/16" ... or I could just continue scubbing my monkey in blissful ignorance like a guy who just spent a ton of money on speakers and just knows he likes it loud. ;)

I hadn't considered the overbore possibility. I usually buy the super cheap shower heads that choke flow with a molded rubber insert that can be pulled out with a needle-nose pliers. :D

On a completely unrelated topic - you can freak out your better half by trimming nose hair with a pair of diagonal cutters. Sometimes it's useful to put this information back in your memory for later use.
