Onkyo 706:Tv commercial loudness on my onkyo 706 is driving me nuts!

Excessively / extremely loud commercial broadcasts are driving me crazzzy!
Have a feature on the Vizio 55" to balance out the volume between tv programs & boosted volume levels of commercial broadcasts.
Cant use the feature of the tv cuz everything is going through the Onkyo 706
Does the Onkyo 706 have any features or settings to help with this? If not, any other suggestions?
Getting really annoying having to mute all the commercials manually...

Hmm, I have never had a Onkyo before but is there a way to get to Audessey automatic speaker configuration to set up your Onkyo 706 and can only the tv mode be customized for the way you like?

Everyone have a problem with louder tv commercials and it's not your equipment fault, but tv programmer. just use late night more to help it

That's a great feature. I have a 42", may not have this feature but what menu is this feature at? I want to check mine.

I guess it depends how you have it set up. If your TV has audio out, you could let the tv do the processing. Just go from your set top box to the TV first, and then to the receiver....
