I am having problems with the blu ray playing in my ps3 and was wondering if anyone else is. I haven't tried anything yet, if I figure it out will let everyone know.

*Update*
It seems that the problem is the format the previews is in, it caused my T.V to not read my PS3, if you have the problem just reset your T.V and Reciever

Ya I think it depends on the AVR and TV. My Receiver is just a HTIB. A Samsung HT-AS730S. The receiver has a few kinks with it.

I just got this on blu-ray as well. I didn't hear a lot about it. There was some ramp up with some cool trailers, but then I never heard or saw anthing about it again. Hopefully I'll have some quiet time at some point to sit and watch it.

yea same with me, i seen a few previews and went "meh" about it, then saw someone talking about it on here, and thought i would re watch the trailers on youtube, then i was like hmm this actually looks pretty good! so i bought it, just need to wait till after xmas to watch it.

I liked it and hope they do a sequel. It was a bit different then the average sci-fi film as of late.

yea it looks different, almost like a bit of indapendence day/ terminator salvation/trasnformers mixed into it, (from what i can make out from the trailer) with the aliens and robots in it. i cant wait!

I watched it late last night and really enjoyed it. I like how it played as a documentary looking back and trying to make sense of what happened, interspersed with the actually events as they occured to show us what really happened. I also found the special features to be worth looking at. No problems at all with it playing on my PS3.

I bought it for the God of War III demo I liked the movie too. To me it was a bit more like Cloverfield in terms of the documentary feel, but this involved you a bit more in the story and I enjoyed it.

There was an earlier thread on this at the time it came out. There, like in Avatar, it wondered off on other issues, political, etc.

It was an interesting film. Didn't really know what was going on in the beginning by the way it is presented.

I just watched this last night.........How fun.... I really liked it. It's a pretty rare thing for a small budget indy delivers the goods in this genre. (sci-fi genre)

I was pretty much into it from beginning to end...good stuff.

I actually hope there is a sequel..... the door was left wide open too.

District 9 definitely had that trademark George Romero style social undertone to it, but it didn't detract from the fun for me. I really enjoyed it......4 stars.

just sayin.....and I am a polar opposite to Romero politics...LOL

just watched it, very very disapointed in this movie. from the trailers i thought it was going to be amazing. def. not! i was not excited at all during the movie. i think they could have done such a good job with making this such a good film. but i didnt like the story line at all. such a waste of money for me to buy this.

I thought the beginning was a bit disorienting as well.

The political aspects weren't revolutionary either, but instead of the usual "What will the aliens do to us?" it turned it around and gave us "What will we do to them?" Certainly different from what I am used to feeling in sci-fi. If they had made the political aspect of it a bit more subtle, I think the connections would have still been draw without people feeling like they are getting it spelled out for them.

The DTS-HD Ma 5.1 is flawless. Picture quality had some glossing and color burn for style, but is overall very detailed and well transfered.

I thought it was a fun movie.

I just watched it, it was ok and certainly not a classic by any stretch, but a decent B-movie. I got sick of the shaky cam crap 5 minutes into the movie though. I can't stand when they make a movie look like you are playing a video game.

I actually like Romero's undertone in Dawn of the Dead. Day of the Dead did not have much of one, but Land had a little. Not enough to distract from the Zombie goodness though.

I really liked this movie and I will watch it again. It was well worth the purchase price (since I didn't win it from Matt).
