Since Alex has returned from OK....Is he or isn't he?
OK is overrated. :D

Matt was going to sell them to me for LESS than Alex paid.
You were going to have to sell them back.
I knew you would be hot on this so I PM'ed Matt about wanting them and getting the money loaned to me. I'm not sure if I mentioned this before but my sister who I borrowed the money from made the speakers an early Christmas gift. She was really prompted to do so because of the work that I had done in her house.

The single most impressive thing I did was to stay up until like 3:00 AM to turn her kitchen back over to her with the new stainless sink, water filter and dishwasher all installed and pretty looking. The new stainless cooktop and double built in oven were already installed but I stiil had the kitchen effectively torn apart when everybody went to bed. It is tough to do that stuff when (1.) people are trying to use the kitchen and (2.) you're not a plumber. Anyway I also got all my tools out of the way and wiped everything down so that when she first saw it in the morning it would have maximum effect. There's a certain amount of showmanship involved in being a construction animal of my caliber. You have to know what counts and that counted ... a lot if Matt's speakers are to be any measure.

I can't wait to see um set up though.
They have to be finished in order for me to go back and get them. The place to be asking about them is here. ;)

Well I went back to OK and am home again. No stops, no visits, no nothing on my way back. The most direct route put's it right at 1,700 miles. Straight through with cat naps whenever I needed them took me 34 hours. I would have gotten a motel room but I was sure that I would either not be able to fall asleep or that I would wake after sleeping for 2 hours. I just barely had what it took and right at the end of the trip my car started acting funny. Whew, just made it.

Sorry Rick. Once I got on the road again, I realized that adding stuff to the agenda with this kind of drive was nobody's idea of a good time. Maybe we'll have that game of Twister in upstate NY after the New Year. I'm already all oiled up. :)

No worries.
When I didn't see you online for a few days, I figured you'd left OK.
I don't blame you for wanting to go straight home; that's a long drive to do alone.
It would work out better heading down here in the summer anyway; for a BBQ maybe.
I'm heading over to Markw's to wall mount a flat screen.

PM me his address so that we can alert the authorities should something go way wrong.** :D

** stolen line ... stolen from Rick as a matter of fact.

Before I made this trip a few times I had thought that doing stuff on the way would be fun and it is ... but that fun comes at the price (no sleep and more time on the road). I also want to wall mount a display for Walter. Once I got up on I-80 and was approaching 287 I made the call to see if he had received it. I was perfectly happy that he had not. I could have called you but by that time my monkey had gotten a tad rank. I was wearing some of the food that I ate along the way and I hadn't had any in a while. I needed to be home because that's just the way my g/f likes me. :)
