LT already has his.

Only one true LT :D
Now thats funny and its so true :D . I always thought it was lame the NFL referred to Ladianian Tomlinson as "LT" considering Lawrence Taylor coined that nickname and was one of the best players ever at his respective position.

"One" of the best.

Lawrence Taylor was the best. He changed the way the position is played.

Taylor is in great company with the likes of Derrick Thomas, Reggie White, Bruce Smith etc. All these DE's were influential on this position. I could make a case for each one these guys including Taylor. All HOF.

Give me a break. How do you coin a nickname?

So no one else in the history of the world with the initials, LT is allowed to be called LT?? Pee-Wee Herman is the ONLY guy allowed to be called Pee-Wee anymore? What about all the red-haired guys that go by "Red"? I'd make the case that Tomlinson is MORE deserving of the nickname simply because his first name has as many beats as Taylor's first and last name combined. Ladainian Tomlinson takes forever to say.

Thank God. Freakin' crackhead.

Me and EVERYONE else who isn't a Giants fan will keep calling Tomlinson LT and I hope it pisses you off to no end. It's pretty damn silly that you guys get all bent over a damn nickname. :p

First off I am not Giants nor did I claim to be, 2nd I'm not pissed off but it seems that you are,3rd When someone asks who is LT most people think of the linebacker from the Giants. His off the field BS has nothing to do with the Game I will agree it is sad the state that he is in,but that doesn't take away from his greatness as a linebacker. Nicknames have importance in sports there will never be another Sweetness,Papa Bear,or His Airness. Now if people want to call him LT2 that fine just not LT.

I'm not a Giants or Chargers fan, and Taylor retired when I was only 11 years old.

That said, to me, "LT" is Lawrence Taylor. I never liked Tomlinson being called LT.

When there's a football player who is probably one of the 5 greatest to ever play the game on either side of the ball, no one is allowed to take over his nickname, at least not unless that player is also one of the greatest to ever play. And while Tomlinson was a great running back, he was never that great.

In the future, please don't attempt to speak for me. Thanks.
