We really need to win the next game. We still are in control of our own destiny.
Sure, I just think beating the Bolts today would have been a huge step in the right direction. Goin on the road to Nawlens for a Saturday night game is gonna be tough. We win that, take down the skins then we're in good shape. Philly kept us out of the playoffs last year with a HUGE beatdown. Expect the boys to play well in January. They just can't get a 'W' in December.

What a game, a real wild west shootout, most points ever scored between these two, really something to be excited about on the offense, both defensive schemes really wreaked of failure though so next week should be very interesting for both teams.
Brandon Jacobs looked very good, I think he is back to his old self.
DeSean Jackson needs to act like a pro, not a hood if its possible.
Boxing in football is cool, as if three plus hours of kicking each others tails wasn't enough.

I'm sure glad you guys gave me 7 1/2 points.
What the, Who the, well I never and furthermore....
We couldnt have asked for a better game to have fun with, Eli showed some real poise in the pocket , I guess my bashing Eli was un-called for last night as he played better than I would have thought, nice game and a real nice rivalry..

Chances to make the post season are looking pretty slim at this point.:(
Whatever happened to our D?
Not sure where the D went (although to be fair 14 points were not the fault of the D- punt return and that horrible fumble return), but from a schedule perspective I'm actually optimistic. There are basically 3 teams (GB, Dal, NYG) for 2 wild card spots. Here are the schedules:

NYG- @ WAS, CAR, @ MIN

DAL- @ NO, WAS, @ PHI

GB- @ PIT, SEA, @ ARI

GB is at 9-4 and I think has a good lock on one of the WC spots, however given the Giants schedule compared to the Dallas schedule, and the fact that we have the head-to-head tie breaker over them, I don't think it's out of the question for us to go 2-1 and Dallas to go 1-2 (at best).

The other consolation for the Giants is that even if we have to go 3-0, there is a chance that Minny will be resting their starters during the last week (with literally nothing to play for), so the odds of beating them could improve.

Even though we don't have a great team this year, I do see the possibility of winning a first round playoff game if we could sneak in due to the potential match ups (Philly or Arizona).

Hope you are right.

Winning against Washington on the road is very tough. No one has blown them out this year and they played the Giants very tough in week 1.

I think it'd be funny if a Wild Card Giants team knocked off 2 undefeated teams to win the Super Bowl.

I don't doubt it- the Skins are always a tough team, but they cannot stop the run this year. They've given up more than 100 rushing yards in every game but 3 this year- and one of those was against New Orleans who threw for over 400 yards b/c they were losing early due to turnovers. A Monday night game in Washington in December is most likely not going to have beautiful weather, so I like the Giants chances to run the ball down their throats.

I'm personally rooting for a Saints vs. Colts Super Bowl- however I want the commish to change the rules in even more in favor of the offenses (E.g. no rushing the QB, only 9 defenders on the field :)) b/c I want to see a 96-88 final score !!

It would be funny as most jokes are funny, :D LOL.
In reality they may have just had their hopes dashed by the loss last night in their own stadium in front of 70,000 plus rabid fans whom which left East Rutherford in complete shock
I can not believe that a team can lose when they accumulate 500 plus yards against a porous defense such as the one on the field for The Eagles last night, Thankfully The Eagles Offense was up to the challenge and if they don't address the Defensive woes right quick our chances to advance into the playoffs are not real strong.

I'd disagree. Division games are usually high scoring because everyone knows everyone else. I don't think the Eagles will win it all, but who really knows. The NFL is a crazy league.

Actually- I wouldn't say your offense was the deciding factor- it was your special teams and a lucky bounce of the football (Jacobs fumble off an OL's foot right into the Safety's hands) that saved the game. Good/Bad breaks are a part of football (that ridiculous fumble/non-fumble at the end of the first half) and I can accept that's how you lose sometime, but I certainly wouldn't call that loss heartbreaking. The heart-breaking loss was against SD where Rivers had a huge last drive to win the game.

I am rooting for a Vikings vs Colts superbowl. Favre vs Manning. San Diego has a good shot in the AFC. There is a recent history of teams getting hot in the final 1/4 of the season going far in the playoffs.

Gee it seems I know the feeling of that last sentence. Yeah it happens to us every week we lose it seems.

I'm hoping for a Chargers - Whomever Super Bowl with the Chargers winning. But I guess I'm slightly biased.
