I've been fortunate enough to drive a lot of cars in my life, and I prefer Porsche. I drive a Cayenne GTS as my daily driver and a GT3 is my toy car.
That said, the Cayenne GTS has been my favorite four door I've ever owned. It's fun to drive, but still fits four people comfortibly.
...
As far as the Panamera, I test drove a Turbo. The car is really beautiful in person and also drives amazing. It feels like a 911. The car I drove was outfitted with PDDC (also on my GTS) which I think is one of the biggest technological improvements in four doors. The interior of the Panamera is probably my favorite of all time: Porsche ergonomics but so stylish.
The downside of the car is while there is a back seat, its pretty tight. The headroom is good, but the leg room would be okay for casually toting people, but not for putting people back there every day.
I think people think that the Panamera is going to be a 7 series or AMG S63/65 competitor, and I think it will be on some level, but I really think the customer is different and, like Chris and Sheep said, it's something that you need to see in person. It's like a 911 with a higher WAF.
That's my spiel, but, I still think that lawsuit is pretty lame.
