Check this out!

If you read German, or you know how to use the translation with a translator program, or even if you're just into pictures (external and internal), this is for you.

__________________________________________________

~~~ The Denon AVR-4310CI has two 15,000 uF caps, and four (Burr-Brown 192Khz/24-Bit Dacs, the PCM-1791, unless otherwise). It weights 34.8 lbs.
~~~ The Onkyo TX-NR3007 has two (18,000 uF caps, my best guess), and six Burr-Brown 192Khz/24-Bit Dacs, the PCM-1796. It weights 55.1 lbs. Power consumption is 11.6A.
It has two more transformers in addition to the main one.

~~~ The Onkyo TX-NR5007 has two 22,000 uF caps, and six Burr-Brown 192Khz/32-Bit Dacs, the PCM-1795. It weights 55.1 lbs. Power consumption is 11.6A.
It has a main toroidal transformer, plus two additional transformers.
Also, there is 9 channels of amplification, same as in the TX-NR3007.
>>> Too bad the Onkyo TX-NR1007 ($999 street price ;) ) ain't part of this excellent trio of receivers, so is the Denon AVR-4810CI.
(((((( In comparison the Onkyo TX-NR1007 weights 51.8 lbs, and it's power consumption is also 11.6A, and also has 9 channels of amplification.
** And the Onkyo TX-NR807 weights 39.7 lbs, with a total power consumption of 7.8A, but contains only 7 channels of amplification.
)))))) Stay tune... :)
THEE VERY BEST VALUE for your Buck.
I firmly believe that the Onkyo TX-NR1007 at only $999 street price is the best receiver; value, feature, build, ergonomics, and performance wise, there is out there.
You won't find a better receiver for below one thousand dollars.
With THX Ultra2 Plus, THX Volume Plus, Audyssey MultEQ XT, Audyssey DSX, Audyssey Dynamic EQ, Aydyssey Dynamic Volume, VLSC, Top grade Video Processing, Networking, Music streaming, 9 channels of amplification, Burr-Brown Dacs for all channels, etc., etc., etc., it is up to date as you and I are good friends. :) ;)
Denon AVR-4310CI & AVR-4810CI: additional info.
Just to confirm that the Denon AVR-4310CI has four Burr-Brown PCM-1791A Dacs,
for a total of 8 channels (7.1 speaker system). It has two DSPs. It weights 34.8 lbs.
* Also, the Denon AVR-4810CI has six of these same BB Dacs, for a total of 12 channels
(9.3 speaker system). But it has three DSPs. It weights 42.2 lbs.
I believe the caps to be 18,000 uF each (two caps).
** And on Onkyo receivers; the 3007 and the 5007 both have the HQV Reon video processor.
And the 1007 has the Faroudja Cinema (Genesis) video processor.
Hi Lord. Glad to see you back. You might remember my quest for "headphone surround" functionality this spring. Managed to be patient and wait before buying the Yamaha DSP-Z7. Now Onkyo offers DTS headphone and I'm seriously investigating the 00 series.
I'm in doubt between the 3007 and 5007. I could afford the 5007 but looking at specs I'm not sure if that would be money well spent or not. The 3007 seems to offer pretty much everything apart from the toroidal transformer and 32-bits DACs. Does this make that much of a difference?
Dynaudio Audience for me, as you might remember.
Hi gorman,
Nice also to see you again.
True, newer Onkyo receivers now have Surround Sensation through their phono jacks for your listening pleasure from your headphones (Youpie! :) ).
I don't think you'll notice much difference in audio quality between the 3007 & 5007.
I'll say, save yourself 600 clams, and get the 3007.
But, of course, you know me, and that's just me. :)
* In my book, the toroidal transformer and 32-Bit Dacs are not worth the price difference.
For myself, I'll pick the 3007 and don't look back. :)
Cheers,
Bob
I think the now official release of the Emotiva UMC-1 is going take a lot of attention away from any new $1K+ receivers from any company.
I can see people stacking the UMC1 on top of the XPA5 = $1,500.:D
Mmmm... I'm not so sure about this.
* But your second paragraph does indeed sound good. :)
(Maybe not on top though, 'UMC1' ;), perhaps on his own shelf.)
** But again, the Onkyo TX-NR1007 can be had for less than a thousand clams.
And what about the TX-NR3007? Say, less than $1,500 :) Mmm... and with 9 powerful channels of amplification, plus a whole lot more; HQV Reon XV, top notch Dacs, thee DSPs, the full suite of Audyssey & THX, VLSC, ISF, ... and I can keep on...
And for half price from the three above, about these two?
1. Rotel RSX-1560 A/V Receiver ($2,599):
2. Integra DTR-9.9 A/V Receiver ($2,600):
@ http://www.hometheatermag.com/receivers/integra_dtr-99_av_receiver/
))) Again, which one? ;)
*** I wish I can add reviews of the Onkyo TX-NR5007 ($2,699),
and Denon AVR-4810CI ($2,999) A/V Receivers to these two above. :)
But what I can do though, is to add links from AVS Forum:
* 3. Onkyo TX-NR5007 "Official Thread":
* 4. Denon AVR-4810CI ...:
Now! which one? ;)
