We had twins!

Thanks to AverageJoe going through his labor pains (), twins have arrived at the Tomorrow household. Now if we can rent a forklift, we'll put them in their crib.

If only I could afford one of those snazzy AS-EQ1's to train these boys.... I guess I have to start a college savings fund.

Two big strong guys are gonna move them around. And that ain't me. I'm a slave to decrepitude. Thank goodness for beefy friends...although I am at the mercy of their availability.

These are replacing two Hsu VTF3mk2's with turbochargers, already sold. I don't expect tons of improvement in performance. Maybe some. But I do like that they are front-firing which I have come to think offers a better bass presentation on floating laminate flooring than the down-firing Hsu's. They're also a lot sexier looking than those big black boxes with turbochargers on top. And since they're going in the livingroom where looks count, the missus gave a hearty seal of approval.

Yeah, after almost 3 decades, I guess I figured out she's a keeper.

Pics of the new kids shall be posted when the beef arrives to toss 'em around. I'm pretty stoked to hear 'em. I'm thinking of changing up my placement and using these two as stands for the surrounds. Placement/room modes aside, does anyone think that's generally a bad idea for some reason I don't know about?

They look pretty sweet so far, RJ. I don't think Alex is doing anything important today. I'm pretty sure that he'd be happy to jump in the Focus and drive over to help set them up. It might take him a few days to get there, though.

I was outside talking with some people when those subs first tuned up. Someone did a frequency sweep. All the siding on Joe's house resonated like a low flying airplane was buzzing the place. Then I thought it was a whole posse of Hell's Angels were coming up Joe's driveway .

With those subs, I don't think REW (Room Equalization Wizard) will do the job, you're gonna need WHEW (Whole House Equalization Wizard) .

Same subs! And you're right. I have to find some way to get these babies EQ'ed on the cheap. Maybe the old fashioned way, by playing with the built-in single band EQ's, one at a time...relentlessly changing settings and running sweeps with the SPL meter in hand...and repeating the process two at a time.

Just in case....I figured the discussion could at least go off the deep end in the steam room.

Besides, if it were really true, I'd probably get in some record book for being the oldest guy to ever sire twins! (Hey, there could be some cash in that. Thinking "reality show"! Thanks for the idea, mtry.)

In my short @ss life as a dual pee-pee sub owning guy I realized that I only ever sit in one spot and for that one spot there is one spot that a sub works best from. Hence the stack. I did try for some sort of symmetry but when I checked the response of each I found that one spot sucked and the other sucked less (damn pee-pee subs). Maybe you should hold off on symmetry until you get the next two. Then we could call you Tomorrow_c.
