I'm tempted to say that my 10 inch Infinity smokes your Dawg Crusher.

What impressed me was that Audessey dynamic EQ business where your bass sounds good at any volume. Oh yeah, I just remembered you playing something and I could actually feel that rumble and having it bring about the instant smile. I know about a walking issue and a rattle issue but I can't imagine how far you have to push it for that to occur. Here's the other thing. When we listened to the Sig 6's, you knew that something was off in the way of a center channel being used. To me it all sounded great. You hearing may be more discerning than mine or at least more practiced.

It all get's to be the best I've ever heard so there's not a lot of room for comparison. I have heard tcarcio's multi sub affair and it smoked my dual 10's easily. That mini fridge looking thing you use easily out does his and that's in a much bigger room to boot.

I think you need some room treatments.

Remember, this is Andrew's design. The design I have from Chris uses the same driver and amp but has about twice the output.

Just occured to me, we never watched a movie so you wouldn't hear the rattle or walking. It is the deep stuff that causes it.

I know about a walking issue and a rattle issue but I can't imagine how far you have to push it for that to occur..

Yeah there is a 10db increase in 20hz output in a ported design.

Which is insane to think about. I drool at the thought of such amazing bass. I'd get evicted for sure, but it would be a fun ride.

Honestly, when I read the title of this thread, the first thing that came to mind was a commercial I saw on The National Geographic Channel about people who keep chimps as pets, and how it usually goes bad. They played a recording of a 911 call a woman was making to the police. She was screaming into the phone “Oh my God! My chimpanzees – they killed my friend! They tore her face off! My chimpanzees – now they’re coming after me…!"

So I think it's safe to say that all of us have gear that we enjoy whether it's a HTiB or like RMK's heaven only knows what all that is with or without room treatments. I was chuckling at PD because he mentioned having a desire to acquire the new stuff coming out. Meanwhile in my smugness I failed to realize that I will be picking up speakers, amps and a turntable all the way home. I'm ditching work lights and painting supplies to make room in the car. This one really nice Kennedy tool box may not make it back as well.

Honestly my first thought was 'good for you'. My second thought was that I don't believe you. I've seen you in action with the 'brother-in-law' business and then with the 'hand carved it when I was overseas' line.

If you are serious then I would only ask that you spend some of it on Grand Marnier (sp?) for your margaritas ... even though you're not half the drinker you claim to be. Ice tea at lunch ... lightweight.
