Lewis totally jumped the play. He timed his run from about 7 yards off the line of scrimmage so perfectly that he shot the gap between the center and the guard before either of them could look up. It wasn't a matter of bad blocking, bad running, or even bad play calling (although to your point the ravens weren't stopping the pass), it was just an amazing individual effort by Ray.
You're right, but it doesn't make it taste any better.

The play call I will definitely call Norv on was not going for the TD to end the first half.

There were a lot of bad calls against the Bolts too.

* Roughing the kicker. It looked like Larry English was pushed past the blockers, but he made an obvious effort to stop and avoid the punter.

* A non-call on an obvious PI on Chambers that would have been a TD.

* Not restarting the 25 second clock when it was the boneheads up stairs who wanted the challenge - please. They need to change that rule - if the game clock is running and its stopped for a review - the GAME clock needs to start when the ball is spotted. its gives an unnecessary advantage to one side EVERY time. but if you just resume the game clock - things are status quo and normal time outs, or grounding the ball applies and not luck of the clock stopping. That alone was HUGE. It took us from first down on the one, with an easy punch into the end zone, back to the 6 with a much harder task.

But I guess I can take heart in the fact that the Bolts did pretty well with a patchwork OL and DL of scrubs and rookies. The Ravens still have a solid defense and the Bolts still could have and should have won that game.

It never does :)
What would you know your teams has won a playoff game in the last decade.:(

You've even won a super bowl.

Not to mention you get all the bounces. :(

Such a sad time for Cowboys fans. We lost our first game at the new stadium and will never get it back. :(

It really sucked.

Yes- but I've watched my team lose in the SB, I've watched them lose in the first round of the playoffs as the top seed, and I've watched them piss away games that they easily should have won.

As for the Cowboys... you're not getting pity from anybody. In fact, it tickles me pink that we kicked Jerry Jones in the teeth last night .

That was a good game.

I'll shed a single tear for the Cowgirls losing their first game in their fancy new hundred billion dollar stadium.

Ha ha, who am I kidding? I hope the giant million-pound screen falls onto the field in the middle of the night and the Girls go 1-15.
The Saints are really kicking some rear this season so far!

Man, the refs in the Vikes/Niners game are making some lousy calls (even the ones that go our way)

...And Singletary is working on getting ejected

I want to kill Bruce Arians.

We blew two time outs in the last 60 seconds of play.

Then our special teams decided we should run around for 10 seconds and give us time for only one snap.

Hines Ward was picked on by the refs this week which hurt our cause.

I'm glad I sold my season tickets.

Bills shut Brees down, so the Saints just kept it on the ground and put up over 200 rushing yards. Pierre Thomas rushed for 126 - all in the second half.

Saints have now outscored their opponents 38-2 in the fourth quarter. And that one safety was intentional to avoid punting from the 1.

Average margin of victory for the Saints in their first 3 games? 21 points.

Yep, the Saints are outstanding this year. The Giants were quite impressive too shutting out Tampa Bay.

Kevin Kolb didn't look too bad today, albeit the Chiefs it is still quite a showing to be the first QB to have back to back 300 plus yard games in his first two starts, pretty impressive. DeSean Jackson is looking like a star in the making, M Vick still suczz in my book, Trade him for some D Line help, wishful thinking.

I see in the stats that my boy Percy Harvin had a 101 kick off return for td today :) ( still not have seen the reply).

I wasn't expecting the Bills to win but it makes me sick to my stomach that the coaching staff did not attempt to resign Greer  . He is not even expensive.. He had an excellent game for the Saints, blitzing and putting pressure on Edwards and shutting down both Evans and Owens. Owens had 0 catches.

You're just happy because it gave you a victory this week.
Here's hoping that the saints go back to the running game with a healthy Pierre and Reggie that could spell disaster for Bree's owners, oh crap lsiberian you have ....LOL

Yup, they're the Saints, but they're doing things I can't remember ever having seen them do. They're tearing it up via the air, establishing an excellent power run game, featuring a top-10 defense, winning by large margins, making critical stops, and generating turnovers.

The Saints are taking leads and closing out games. It's awesome.

What a releif when the Colts ran the ball on forth down instead of trying to kick a FG on that last drive....:p:D
Regards, Bill...:)

PS: I've always liked the Saints....:)
