Not released this year or anytime in the past decade...but...
Kentucky Fried Movie.
It's got some plain awesome sketches.

Very funny, especially after some good brews.

It's another way for Lucas to get some more of your money. ;) Many fans of the original movies have been demanding for years that the original theatrical version be released. Some of them don't liket the additional CGI footage that was added to the movie.

Personally, none of it bothers me, with the exception of making the bounty hunter shoot at Han Solo first from about 3 feet away and miss him by about 5 feet. That was just plain stupid. Plus I liked the character better when he starts out as a total A-hole then changes.
Thanks for the low down.

I am aging myself on this one, but I have not thought about Kentucky Fried Movie in years. I saw it in 1969 or 1970. Did not have anything to drink beforehand, but we did prepare ourselves. Zig-Zags were involved if you get my drift. A good time was had by all.

2. Final Fantasy - The Adven Children (HD Anime)
3. House of Flying Daggers (I think that one did get mentioned already...Chapter 4 is incredible!!)
4. Wolf Creek (decent horror flick filmed with an HD Sony Handycam)
5. Cars (can't remember if anyone recommended that one)
6. Das Boot (remastered)
7. M.I. 3
8. The Aviator
9. Master and Commander
...any of these are completely capable of showing off your A/V system. Enjoy.

Air Force One

We watched "Air Force One" with Harrison Ford last night. We saw the movie years ago and almost forgot about it. It's good, mindless fun, though, so we decided to rent it again and watch it after a long, hard day.

The version we rented, the superbit version, had two English-language audio tracks. The default was DD, I think, with an option for DTS. I chose DTS, and the surrround sound was glorious. This movie has many scenes with guns and planes making lots of noise behind the camera's viewpoint, so our surrounds got a good workout. It was fun to hear after watching so many movies with insipid surround tracks.

Seriously, Behind Enemy Lines is in your top 10? I don't think that belongs in anyone's top 100.
