Kudos to the Buffalo Bills. You guys deserved to share the national spotlight tonight. If it wasn't for a brain fart on the 2nd year cb/returner we would have probably won the game. New England fans you should feel lucky to win that one.

Brady you are a spoiled brat, you won the game and still acted like a baby when asked questions after the game. You are a jerk.
I agree , how about lil tom brady,No not now I'm going in, I'm going in, what I cant even hear you, He knows it's his responsibility to give a few words to the sideline reporter, what a complete douche, great QB, lousy person.
The Bills played a great game except for that last second decision by an otherwise great returner,in his defense the D let him down in the last three minutes,Ben Watson are you kidding the guy had two touchdowns all of last season and he gets two last night, not too good Bills...T.O. was somewhat on the invisible side of the game plan

How is that cliche, it is a fact. Is it a huge coindidence that all the great dynasty teams have superior offense lines. When Terell Davis career was done they put an unkown Clinton Portis behind there and he managed to be just as dominate as Terell Davis playing under that same core offensive line. Since Portis got traded to the Redskins his productivity has dropped. He plays under an average o-line and right now he is just an average back in the league. That wasn't the case in Denver.
Now that I know what you require to be a great RB I guess we don't have one. AP has a great OL so he's obviously overrated too.

FYI he averages only 5 yards a carry while Terell Davis averaged 7.6 over his career and 8.7 at his peak.

Good point.

The Raiders, however, are the class of the league, and the Chargers should be awfully proud to have 62 yards of total offense against them in the first half. Boy, I wish Brees could go 7 of 9 for 46 yards and 0 TDs against a team as good as the Raiders. 350+ with 6 TDs is nothing considering it was against the Lions.
The Raiders I thought had a decent secondary, but I could be wrong. Run defense is where they usually stink.

Well a little more unsettling news from The Eagles, Shaun Andrews, head case number two decided he will miss next weeks home opener cause his freaking back hurts, Eagles decided he will miss the rest of the year, see ya later butt head, they made room for our new back-up QB Jeff Garcia.Andrews has been a thorn in the O-Lines side for two years, I think he is afraid to play, really, just wont suit up well no worries now, :D

It was a total Billichick type move. He is the poster boy of the NFL and how he treated that lady reporter after the game is uncalled for just because things didn't go exactly his way in the game. He really rubbed me the wrong way.

McKelvin made a bad mistake returning the kick from the endzone since the hands team was on the field for a potential onside kick. Its a horrible mistake by a young player. As for the coaching staff you have to tell him not to return the kick if it is kicked in the endzone at that point in the game. If they did or not is speculation at this point. I do hope it comes out either way in the media. Still McKelvin in his second year is showing he is worthy of his draft pick and is blossoming into a stud corner. The Bills were very competitive so I am still somewhat happy even though the loss hurts more than it would have if they were just blown out.

Minus- I don't totally blame him for taking the ball out b/c by doing so he ran the clock down below the 2 minute warning, essentially eliminating a free timeout for New England. Where you absolutely blame McKelvin is not going down at first contact. Considering that NWE needed a touchdown or bust (b/c they were down 5 points), a huge return was not needed. Get the ball out to the 20 yard line, kill 6 seconds off the clock, and then immediately hit the ground once somebody touches you.

When you see the replay it wasn't until after he is hit three times that the ball comes out. The last hit of course being a Patriot defender tugging away at the ball for all he's worth.

I would rather have him not return the ball at all when the hands team is on the field because of the lack of blocking and the possibility getting stuffed behind the 20 and then having to punt deep in your zone. Thats why he was swarmed like he was. If you watch the reply, Byrd wasn't even paying attention when the ball was fumbled (inexperience). By returning the kick with the hands team you put players in a position to fail. I understand your idea about killing the clock to the 2 minute warning but it doesn't make a huge difference with the extra timeout because New England needed to score a touchdown. I would agree with your point if New England was down by only 3 points or less at that point. Either point one makes McKelvin screwed up.

That's just something that the Pats do. They are either really good at stripping the ball when it counts, or they're just really lucky. Remember the playoff game a couple of years ago against my bolts? McCree had just made an INT that would have ended the game, but he fought for extra yardage for some reason and got the ball stripped, so it ended up being a positive yardage play for the Pats. That one still bugs me.

Please. How can you even mention the Lions defense in the same sentence as the Raiders?

I may hate the Raiders with the white hot passion of a thousand suns, but their defense is pretty solid.

They had a top 10 passing defense last year. Their run defense was 2nd to last though. This year they added a good patriot to the line so I expect improvement there.

They've got a pro bowl corner in Asomaghua (how the hell do you spell that guy's name?) and they just added a pro bowl lineman in Seymour, (even though that guy played dirty as hell, diving at knees after the whistle had blown all night).

When was the last time the Lions sent someone to the pro bowl?

Let's stop talking up the raiders. ;) Bottom line: Chargers won.

I was impressed by KC and Oakland this weekend. KC scored a lot of points with a backup QB on Baltimore. Oakland held their own with the Chargers. In the NFL you can go form worst to first in an instant.

Shaun Rogers a few year back. Roy Williams made it a couple of years ago too. I still don't get how Millen failed. The guy is a great analyst, but he made so many boneheaded draft choices.

Lane was the best Defensive player of all time IMO.

Millen failed because he had no right to run a football team and had no qualifications to be a G.M and it showed in his personal decisions and drafts. He was an idiot and ruined an entire franchise. He was also overhyped as an analyst when he was on fox. I remember his co-workers saying when he got the job that he is going to be the next great G.M in football. I laughed. If you want to here a analyst that knows something about football listen to a game called by Brian Billick this year (ex headcoach of the ravens).

I can add one more name to that list , if you want an analyst turned coach / manager to succeed try Jaws, yep Ron Jaworski is one of the most intelligent football minds out there .All that man does is study football film from the college level right on up to the pros,I think he would make a great football coach.

49ers are 2-0

Raiders are even with the Charger for the division:eek:

Chicago looks very good. Buffalo might make the playoffs.

I think New England's dynasty may be done.
