Today was the second day of a local blues festival. It has been outstanding so far.
These people are amazing musicians. Tonight the headliner was Susan Tedeschi. All I could think the whole time is, "Why the hell is this brilliant group of people playing on a tiny stage to much less than 1000 people when Miley Cyrus and all of those other fake, manufactured, talentless, worthless b***hes can sell out an entire f***ing stadium?"
I got to thinking that they probably enjoy playing these small shows, but I don't think they would turn down a chance to sell 20,000 tickets at $50-$150 each if they could...
Tomorrow Derek Trucks (who is actually Tedeschi's husband, and nephew of one of the Allman Brothers Band members) is headlining. It should be good. I am going to be wind-burned pretty bad by then - I am already. It has been a bit breezy, but worth it.
