I watched it early last night. I was afraid my subs would break and my neighbors were probably praying that they would break. Eff them. :D

J/K. Like I said, I got it watched early enough. ;) I can't imagine what it must sound like on those $1,000+ subs but I'm sure that it's a rare treat. You probably bother your neighbors even though you live in houses. Congrats. :)
Alex, what flavor of sub(s) do you have?

Oh nice. I guess your sig pics are a little outdated, or it was just impossible to see under that behemoth.
Thanks : )Yes my bad I need to do some updating , different place, different sub and a great gramma

I have a couple of these:

http://www.infinitysystems.com/home/products/product_detail.aspx?prod=PS10BK&CheckProduct=Y&Language=ENG&Country=US&Region=USA

I had bought one as my first sub ever and then getting the second one was my cheapest sensible upgrade possible. The stack configuration came about after running that Rives Audio Test CD II. I picked the best available spot in the room ... twice.

I had tried positioning a single sub (when I only had one) beside the couch (nearfield I guess) during a movie called Mr. Brooks and quickly saw just how localizable it became during some gunshot scenes that they over exaggerate in that movie. I liked the movie a lot and I think I would enjoy using that as a demo for audio. I know that they used the LFE channel in the exaggeration because I could tell right where the sub was and I remember having the idea that it wanted to jump up on the couch because it was scared too. :)

Cool deal! Thanks for sharing BTW. Seems like a cool pair. So you are running a stack too?:D

Yes you really do especially if your floor isn't concrete. It really helps control your bass I guess is the best way to describe it .

A couple of guys here (major looser and j_garcia I believe) both have concrete floors and still sing the Gramma's praises. I have a couple of them myself ... leaning up against a wall.

What can I say? I'm lazy ... I mean busy ... very busy.

Yeah, just not as cool as yours:

I'm considering getting a Bonsai to dress mine up though. :)

This is it:

Being a condo dweller, I try to use this responsibly. My neighbors still like me ... I think.

Cool! Very nice to see your stack Alex! Nice set up for sure.

So I have to rank WOTW as #1 for BASS and sheer zorchability! I can't think of anything that comes close to it. Last night my walls were flexing and making stange cracking sounds....

The difference in our experience is that you are reproducing useful sound 1/2 an octave lower than anything my subs can touch (roughly speaking) ... well, that and about $2,500 worth of subs. :D

At this point I literally don't know what I'm missing. I thought it was you that had the pic of a cracked wall but I thought it was in the basement?

Anyway I think that you might want to get subwoofer insurance for your house. ;)

the gramma would work better under the subs :D
To make matters worse, there is actually another one leaning up against the wall on the left.

Sorry if this has already been lamented, but WHY OH WHY is this not on Blu-Ray?

It's a good question. There has been a bit of discussion over at AVS forum, but I don't really know why? I will say that IMO, I doubt DTS-MA will offer much of an improvement over the DTS track on the SD DVD SQ wise. Actually, the up converted SD DVD PQ is quite good.

Totally agree with you! The only +, IMO, would be videowise though
