Basically after I heard my brothers audioengine a5's I started becoming hooked on upgrading my computer/tv/movies/music speakers. I use my tv for all 3 mostly for movies though. My room is relatively small at 12x15x8 but has a BAD echo.
Through research I figured I would use my 650$ budget I have now to build a 2.0 system then try and upgrade later with a sub then finally fill it out to a 5.1
This is the build im looking at.
Receiver:
Onkyo 606 300$ +S/T
Speakers: (fronts)
Paradigm Atom Monitors roughly 275$
After I get more funds im looking at
Sub:
Dayton SUB-120 HT 155$ + S/T
My first question is how does the 2.0 look? Can I save money and get a cheaper receiver? I still really want the single hdmi to tv feature and some kind of audussy. With the sub included wheres the weakpoints? anything I should spend more or less on or change?
Also anyone have recommendations for the Rears and central? Around 300?
Finaly what can I do about the Echo in my room? Will that make everything sound terrible?
Thank you so much for the feedback. If theres anything else you need to know let me know.
