It will be interesting to see how Eli does this year throwing under heavy pressure. Talking about division games, teams like Dallas and the Eagles blitz a lot. With Plax Eli did not have to be that accurate with the long ball under pressure, he just really threw it up there and let Plax come down with. A huge part of their offense. There were so many times this changed the course of the game. Plax was also very valuable in the red zone. Eli is going to have to rely more on timing patterns and the shorter passing game.
You are absolutely right so many times the Birds lost in the waning moments of the game by Plax grabbing a ball that would otherwise be picked off or find its place bouncing on the turf, on a somber note The Eagles lost another player today draft pick Cornelius Ingram as a torn ACL so he to is done for the season now it will be two long years without football for this guy as he also missed his senior year,:( really too bad for him he was having a great camp.

NFC East by far the toughest division in football.

This is the first I've heard this...:(

Oh well, I've had this feeling ever since the draft that this year would be a "rebuilding" year of sorts for the Eagles. Too many veterans gone (o-line), then a good draft but they need time to get up to speed, JJ (RIP) being sick. The only bright spots seemed to be McNabb and Jackson are ready to tear things up. Now we have all these injuries...

...I guess we will see.:)

No love for the Steelers in this thread? We have one of the worst OCs in football and yet we still pulled a rabbit out of our hat last year.

Steelers have a great coach and defensive co-ordinator. They also have a lot of talent in all phases of the game.

I noticed the cover of Madden nfl 10 has Troy Pol (can't spell the rest of his name) and Larry Fitzgerald. Welcome to the Madden curse  .

The Chargers should win it all, but they won't as long as Norv Turner is a head coach. Plus, I found it strange that such a deep and talented team lost so very much with Merriman out. I'll be watching to see if he ends up with the typical after affects of 'roids users with increased injury breakdowns.
I found it a little odd also. But it wasn't just Merriman; Cromartie had a bad hip, so that slowed down the secondary, Olshansky had a crap year, Castillo was injured, (as usual ), and Jamal is getting old. But the bottom line is, Merriman's a beast and is a game-changer. Our other linebackers are just good.

Please yourself. Sproles is a straight-up baller, and he doesn't have to be a media circus in his off time.
Sproles will have to buy a ticket to get into the Hall of Fame. T.O. will get a invitation.

Care to place a wager on that? What the hell has TO done to even make him HOF-worthy?
You tell me what he has done. IMO he has put up some very impressive numbers. Not to mention he draws double coverage. Double coverage means someone else is getting the ball which is increasing their numbers. The guy is a dominating force on the field.

WOW look who's #9  And look at the guys ahead of him. All in the or will be in the HOF. And Terrell Owens has better numbers.

Not only that but he can definitely stretch a defense. He's one of those guys that every team would love to have if it wasnt for his on the field antics. At the end of the day its all about the TO show with this guy. I dont think the Bills have a shot with him on the field. If he cant make due with McNabb or Romo then there is no way he's going to make nice with Trent Edwards.
