Would the RX-V663 be suitable for bluray playing of DTS-MA/DolbeTHD via HDMI from a PS3 (no extra audio cable)? I'm particularly concerned that it is an HDMI repeater (as I believe this one is), not simply passthrough.

I plan on pairing it with a low end polk setup (or comparable). Room is relatively small, entire apartment is 950 sq ft including 2 bedrooms+bathrooms, so living room is porobably about 5-600 sq ft, viewing area even less.

Also, I'm a college student on a budget, yet with concern for having good sound, so any recommendations are appreciated! So far, this forum has been a great source of info.

Yes that setup will work fine, that is how I had it configured with my PS3.

I checked with fed-ex today and it's going to be about $45/ea to ship them, obviously that ends up being more than you can pick them up new. I'm probably just going to pull them off here and see if I can get them sold locally on craigslist.

The left channel on the A500 is out, I just confirmed it yesterday when I hooked it up in my two channel setup...plus it still has a very audible hiss to it.

Have the Monitor 70 and subs still for sale, local delivery or pick-up would be best. If both the towers and subs were to be bought as a set I will be able to work with the prices more.
