In a sick twisted sort of way.

I'm not condoning their actions, but they are doing far worse with our money than these planes. I won't be smokescreened by this when they flush money down the toilets in so many other areas. Maybe if they bought planes instead of giving banks Trilions. We'd be better off. It'd produce jobs at least.

The TARP money is supposed to keep the banks in a position of liquidity and if they can't lend to people or companies, that will definitely have an affect on jobs. People can't buy or build houses, can't buy cars/trucks or boats, small businesses can't take out interim loans and if that includes builders and small manufacturing, people won't be working. For the record, some of the banks have already paid the money back. Why they had to ask for permission, I don't know.

This may help a few for a short time but that comes at the expence of everyone later. Don't you get it?
How is it that the leaders of this country for decades have run the country into a hole in the ground. And somehow they think that they are qualified to pass judgement on anyone including GM and Chrysler.Has anyone seen the national debt lately?
WTF are people thinking? GM and Chrysler were doing what almost eveyone else was doing. Their mistake was being arrogant enough to think that people could afford what they were selling. Kinda like Fannie and Freddie huh. The truth is the majority of Americans are living way beyond their means and right now most people don't even know what they can afford.. they have lost touch with whats important.Eveyday some is looking for another handout. This comes at a price....With every responsibility we give up we will lose the rights that go along with it. Responsibility and Rights go hand n hand.:

Does TFB mean anything to you?m That's what I would tell them if they complain about what they have. I saw someone justifying it by saying it's cheaper to buy new than to outfit them again. Funny how that logic goes against the way the military operates. They have been re-outfitting the B-52 for over 50 years and the estimates I hear are that it will still be used 30 years from now.

****, there is more legroom on that thing than in a commercial airliner. I'd rather fly on the C-130 than on American Airlines coach.

Put down some of those pressed paper mats to absorb it. If you go to an industrial supply house, you can get them in all different sizes.

That must be a fairly large driveway.

They don't need to- it's part of the reason they all want to be in the Senate. I'd like a job where I can give myself a raise, decide on my own benefits and make other people pay for my expenses.

on the cusp of a depression 2x worse than 1930s

Ok,lets get this right in perpective,we on the edge of a depression with increasing dept,180 billion deficit last month alone,so spend 1 trillion too start a govt healthcare program ,and theres not enough rich tax payers too pay but a fraction of that!
Who do we tax,u go figure that out!
Noing the govt is 4x more inefficient than a buissness im thanking this govt is irresponible in its inception at best, and borders on threatning our national security by its actions on monetary matters!
So when the leaders themselves become a threat to national security ther is no recourse but too rectify the situation!
I dont know what secret agency does this but im afraid this could be in the future!
IM afraid and im sure we cant afford these programs at all so the senate needs too get real and not pass a bunch of everthing large!!!!
A national emergency is unfolding here!
We have too get the economy going before spending 6 trillion over 10yrs on this folly!
A katrina disaster right now could bring on the depression or worse!
Irresponsible not to safe guard our future!
Im not at all liking us being in dept to china at all to the huge amount,but the fed just keeps printing more money increasing the inflation!
