Man, I'd really like to gut my entire apartment. Strip it right down to the concrete and just rebuild and rearrange the whole layout!

I'll be able to renovate at some point, but probably not as much as I'd like and certainly not right now!

So if anybody would like to give me about $120,000 or so, that'd be super cool.

Thanks!

Seriously, I have no life.
Use Monopoly money? Promissory notes? An IOU?

I'm in BC, Canada. Our provincial government decided the best course of action was to raise our taxes - not give out a stimulus! :(

Didn't realize you were a northerner.;)

If Bush were still in power we could bomb the crap out of you and then keep troups there 'til your place was rewired to the point that it could run itself.
That would have taken a while however.

I can't wait for the new tax. Whatever you do, if you're thinking of buying do it quickly. After July 2010, a new apartment worth 400000 will have an extra 36 grand slapped on in tax.

Have you read the things that are not getting taxed? It's ****ing ridiculous.

BTW, where in BC are you?

I know, right? I'm in Surrey. I'm quite glad that I bought my apartment in Feb.

Oh sure, I know the Blue Mountain area.

I've got my living room setup:

- Samsung HP-T5064 (50" 1366 x 768p plasma)
- Onkyo TX-SR705
- Energy RC-Mini speakers ( 3 RC-Mini Centre across the front, 2 RC-Mini on Sanus HF1B stands) Main L/R speakers are on Auralex MoPads, Centre is on IsoNodes
- HSU VTF-3 MK2 subwoofer on Auralex GRAMMA
- Shaw HD-PVR
- PS3
- Xbox 360 Elite
- Wii
- HD-A30 HD-DVD player
- Oppo DV-980H DVD/DVD-A/SACD player
- APC J15BLK Power Conditioner with UPS Battery Backup
- Harmony One Remote

Everything's on an Init NT-C1201 63" wide stand. Speaker wire is from Axiom, banana plugs from Monoprice, almost all cables are from Bluejeans.

I've got another pair of RC-Mini and HF1B stands, but I've not enough space to make the 7.1 setup worth while in my current setup.

I've got my old projection setup components too, but I haven't bothered to set them up in the second bedroom:

- Sanyo PLV-Z2 1280 x 720p LCD front projector
- Da-Lite 92" Model 'C' manual pull-down screen with High Power fabric
- Yamaha RX-V2500 receiver
- Polk Audio RT600i, CS245i, F/X300i

I want to reno the kitchen, enlarge the master bedroom (there is space to steal from the laundry room and a little bit of the dining/living room). I want to completely soundproof that master bedroom and turn it into a proper theatre. I can probably get those two renos done at some point, but if I did, I'd want to replace the laminate flooring, make the second bedroom nicer (as it would become my bedroom with the master turned into a theatre). At that point, I might as well just gut the place! So that is why I made this post! Hey, there are people out there for whom $120,000 is something to wipe their noses with! So it can't hurt to ask, right? :D
