The Eagles, Greatest Hits. Also happened to be the first vinyl LP I ever purchased several years prior, and this album is still one of my favorites.

I was 11 years old and remember it clearly--Salt N' Pepa, "Black Magic." Took my allowance for the week and skipped the candy n' baseball cards I usually bought in favor of the disc. Oh, the memories! But needless to say that album has not stood the test of time.

Steve Winwood "Back in the High Life" Maybe that is why I could never snag a hottie in High School. :D

Got my first CDP as a gift, and it had two discs with it: Rush "Grace Under Pressure" and ZZ Top "Eliminator." I can't remember what I bought next...more Rush I think.

early adopter of cd

Sony was basically the main company putting out cd's in the mid-80's. Therefore.......The best of Kansas. I hooked up my Yamaha cd player on Christmas morning and blasted "Carry on." I loved it. It sounded better than anything else I had at the time (LP, Tape, 8-track). Heck, I was still in high school!!!

By 1988, my LP of Screaming was totally trashed. It didn't help that I found it on my friend's hardwood floor after I let him borrow/destroy it. That sucked! And he was a big audiophile too......WTF!!
Now I have the remastered CD version and crank it often. Bloodstone, Electric Eye, Ridin' on the Wind, You've Got Another Thing Comming.......... metal at its finest. No doubt their best, but most Priest fans don't think so.

Back in 84 I believe, something by Laura Branigan. There weren't many choices in the beginning and I no longer recall the title.

Men at Work - Buisness as Usual, hey I was a child of the 80's
After reading this, I dug it out and gave it a spin, I'm surprised how well this stands up. It was great to hear it again, sounds good too.

I bought 3 my first time out, Foreigner Double Vision, Santana ?, and John Tropei. Double vision and the first Foreigner album (disc) still agree with me.
