There is ways to protect upholstery. I have one at my shop, it works. Not cleaning your upholstery will do more damage, and multitasking driving plus food is the worst of all. Just because you think it's over priced, doesn't mean it doesn't work. Not everything can be had for pennies. A large part of the cost with car detailing is labour, as it's physical work. I just detailed a car for a good friend (the guy that rebuilt my transmission in fact). He gave me a good price, and I was inclined to do him a favor with the detailing. I still charged him 80 bucks for my 3+ hours of work.
Relax, eh... I understand the value of good service... I wasnt arguing that. I'm about preventative maintenance and window tint seems to be a very viable solution.
One time application? Message me when you tint turns purple.
Its always been done professionally and has a lifetime warranty. No bubbling, no color changing here.
Have you ever thought that people won't want to break into you car if they see nothing is in it? If you saw a big door with a giant lock on it, you'd think "Man, I wonder whats behind that door". It could be a pile of gold, or just a pile of ****. Same with tint. They'll think your hiding something, and it could be enough to attract a thief. Also, rule #25, never leave anything you plan on keeping in a car. Doesn't matter what security system you have, it's as good as gone.
Why do you think every SUV or Van or Hatchback has very dark tinted glass? Its to protect the contents. You're just diggin now, brotha..
You shouldn't argue in area's you're unfamiliar with. You should also know that I don't buy into bullshit. When I detail, I do what works. I don't screw people over, and I don't waste product that doesn't need to be used. If you got burned in the past, to bad. Learn to do it yourself.
This isnt about your detailing, or even tint for that matter. Listen up, when you insult somebodies intelligence (everyone here that has window tint) for something that they did that was based on being practical, expect to get called out. I wasnt the only one. Again, you havent earned that right. Lets get this straight, Brian... You called me a "loser" first and then you puff up when I step up the plate. I'm as easy going as they come but what I can't stand is a little punk that hides behind his computer screen and is so damn insecure he feels the need to be-little those he thinks he's somehow better than. I've read enough of your posts and know about enough of your interests that I care nothing about but I'm not gonna behave like a freakin 6 year old and call you names. I'll take the high road and not return the red chicklet.
