As of 5pm on June 5th my single lifestyle was over:D I turned in my man card and was fitted for my shackles. The whole thing was amazing. Any pointers out there from you married guys(and women)? By the way, my wife said I can use some of the wedding money to by 2 new subs! Isn't she the best?

First off, congratulations. I could go on and make a lot of jokes, but I won’t. In my 22+ years of marriage, the one thing that has always made the difference is also one of the simplest - open communication. I can’t tell you how many fights have started over one spouse not fully communicating to the other. Be honest (even if it hurts a little) and always be willing to talk things out.

Communication is something we do very well. I can't remember a time that we actually fought about something.

Congrats, Nick. But remember, she also became a wife. There are certain wife requirements that she must meet. It's cultural and pervasive. Over time, you'll find out what they are. ;)

[Deep sigh...Heavy remorse....]

Geez Craig where were you when I was married the first time, let alone the second! ;):);) You are correct in that it is all about open and honest communication. Oh yeah, there is also commitment, respect, and trust. :):p:) BTW, congrats to you on making it 22-years.

Cheers,

Phil

I will be following you soon bud. I suggest you use that money to buy her something unexpected. Surprising her and keeping her happy will keep you happier than even subs. I always outdo my Fiancee on gifts.:)

BIG TIME - both parties need to be willing to work through the rough times together. This will have it’s own rewards.

Very much agreed. If the commitment is solid with open and honest communication, then anything can be worked through. Of course, there must also be faith in each other. :);):)

The subs are for her;) I told her that the subs will really help her "feel" the emotions during those cheesy love stories and chick flicks. But yeah, I know what you mean. I am also the one that outdoes her on surprises.

Just buy one sub and spend the rest on her. Compromise is the key.

I've been married.......twice.....Oh sure divorced twice too, but trust me, I know what I'm doing

"Eddie, what have you done for me lately? I want HALF!"

One of the funniest Eddie Murphy skits of all time.

Next time you introduce her to someone. Introduce her like this.

"I'd like you to meet My First Wife". :D

I have been introducing her as Mrs. Nick. I liked the sound of it.

I hope you are joking about the buying one sub part.
That is the worst advice that I have ever heard ... EVER !!! :D

Nick,

You have the rest of your life to compromise. It just now occurred to me that your life is compromised. Do this one thing this one time just for you and be glad that you have this one shot. We all have different circumstances and you may find yourself in the position of being able to buy ten subs down the road but I strongly urge you to get two now while you can (just in case). I think my position is clear but I could go on if need be. ;)
