So I'm going to Vegas on thursday, and was wondering if anyone knew of some awesome places to go. Unfortunately, my age hinders my ability to have fun in vegas. What's there to do for a 19 year old? lol. Are there any speaker stores that I should check out just to waste some time?

BTW, strip clubs are out of the question lol. I have a gf who wouldnt appreciate it :p

Go to the Prime. Its the best steakhouse I have ever been to and I have been all over the world. Its in the Bottom of the Bellagio and the huge fountains in front of the Bellagio are actually right on the patio of the Prime...sick. Best ribeye I ever had here in the US....don't know of any speaker stores but I am sure there are some. Vegas is a over 21 town for sure. Its tough to really do anything there as you are hindered by your age...Go eat a killer steak meal...The buffet at the MGM is sick as well....pick up 1 or 2 Vegas here and look for stuff to do. The coaster on top of the Stratasphere hotel is cool it way up hi and scary...

I cant really name of anything at the time but I lived in Vegas for a little over a year. I was 19. I HAD LOTS OF FUN. To me there is no better place to be. If you like rollercoasters there is a few on the stip or head out to stateline. You may drive past if going from CALI. The stip has tones of great phot opts and LOTS of really good food. I used to go grab a buffet and watch a movie. Many casinos have lots to offer besides drinks and losing money.

Speaking of the Bellagio, I absolutely love the resturant Picasso in there.

I would just walk the strip and people watch. Enjoy the buildings and the themes. There is a ton to do without gambling or picking up hookers.

Better then Capital Grill (Vegas)?

Also if you do dine at the Bellagio. After dinner take her across the street to Paris and go to the top of the Eiffel Tower to watch the Bellagio fountain show.

Mazer, I am a little partial to the Prime because my buddy is the Executive chef there. I have been to the Capitol Grill twice and we ended up going back to the Prime because the food was a little bit cheaper and the atmosphere at the Prime is amazing. One of the Jobs a "tour Mgr" has is to find killer places for the band to take the crew on days off to eat. It is an unwritten law that on days off the "band " pays for dinner. Because of this little tidbit i have been lucky enough to eat in some places that I wouldn't and couldn't afford. I guess its one of the road perks of my job. But Yes, in fact the Prime was better than the Capitol Grill............IMO of course..

I'm glad that it's your opinion. Because your opinion of the two is wrong.

Also the buffet at the Mandalay Bay is better then the MGM. So take that. :D

Also The Wynn has several great restaurants. :D

You should definitely go to Freemont street and watch the light show at night. It is quite incredible. What casino are you staying at if one at all? There are many things to do without drinking and gambling, but there is nothing to do there without spending money:eek:
The Blue Men show is fun to watch. They might have the human body exhibit there; they usually do.

If you are going to Fremont Street (the old school original strip), then you will be near the Stratosphere. Hit that up for the tour and the roller coaster and Big Shot on the top. NOT for those afraid of heights.

Hit up all the major casinos because they all have free attractions for people oogle. Treasure Island has the pirate show, Mirage has the volcano, Bellagio has the water dance, etc.... The Eifel Tower thing was OK, but not as exciting as one would hope. Better at night when the water dance is going, but it was better when I had a room that I could see it directly from :)

The Joust dinner thing was kind of cool at Excalibur.

One of the things you must absolutely do, especially since you cannot be trapped inside gambling all day, is to walk the full length of the strip- all the way from the Mandalay up to the Stratosphere. It's a long walk, about 4.5 miles, but definitely worth it from a people-watching perspective. You never know who or what you might see .
