I am sorry to write this as I was a huge fan of Ric and his wonderful attitude. I would like to propose putting the picture of Ric smiling up in an advertisers spot. Ric should be a inspiration to all of us here. He IS missed and I for one think it would be a fitting memorial to place his smiling face somewhere on the main page if at all possible.I would love to hear some of your thoughts on this guys and girls...........

I support this and I agree wholeheartedly with Jamie. Ric was an inspiration to many of us and in this way, we can pay our tribute to a great person :D

Jamie, once again you have an excellent idea that I fully support! ;):);) As I mentioned before, even if everyone had half the outlook Ric had, then the world would be a MUCH better place. Ric was a trooper even to the very end. As such, he truly is an inspiration for us all. Thank you Ric for setting such a good example. RIP my friend. :):):)

Cheers,

Phil

I know advertising costs money, perhaps we could all pitch in and buy him a spot for a designated time period. That would help the site out. I'd be more than happy to pitch in. A trusted member could provide paypal info or something.

A nice idea. I say that we buy him one of the banners at the top (if we can afford it), as ad blockers will keep many people from seeing the ones on the side.

What if we asked the people at Wheelchairforum what a good charity is to donate too and setup a PayPal for that?

Maybe then we could have a little donate thing on this site. I'm sure the Audioholics staff would be cool with setting up something like that, especially since they already have a merchant account.

Charities are struggling now because of the economy. :/ We need to find one that doesn't gank half the money though... some of the charities have a lot of "overhead" charges.

Sorry to rain on the parade.......but......

A decision such as this is something that should ultimately be left to Ric's family.

I miss Ric's presence as well, but posting his image after his death is tantamount to making him a martyr.

We need to be sure it would be his wish to be portrayed in that way.

I like this. Let's do some good. When ever someone we know dies my wife and I like to donate in there name. Especially pets. The local shelter has got quite a few donations from us in the past.
