New Track Time 10.3 @ 140mph in the 1/4 mile

Well went to track and nailed me some good times on my CBR 1000rr . Had a hard time keeping my front end on the ground but when I did she ripped threw the 1/4 mile . Heres a couple of quick pics that a photogopher took and I managed to get a couple but the rest are on his website, there pretty cool thought i'd share

LOL Adam its not to bad but it does get a little blurry at times A couple of times I stayed on it after the finish line just for fun and had her up to 157mph now that was really ripping and oh ya its a rush....

Nice litter bike. I really need to take my R1 to the strip sometime, they are really tricky to launch though. Do you have anything else besides a pipe on yours?

Thanks Yes they are very tricky to launch, my best 60ft was a 1.8. You have to slip the clutch just enough but not to much . My mods are basicly a jardine carbon slip-on, power commander with dyno tune, speedo healer , pirelli corsa 3 tires and a D I D sprocket and chain kit with 3 teeth up in the back . I do road course to so didnt want to do a extended swing arm even though that would take off about a 1/2 second off my 1/4 mile time .

J/K It must take some nuts to go 100mph while looking at the ground whizzing by. I'd race ya in my Mustang, but it would probably be pretty embarassing.

May be but what's really note worthy is the lack of brains.

No offense, Factor. I only say that because I use to do it out on the highway like a total rehab. On my speedometer I had hit 150mph/250kmph a few times. I don't ride anymore but that's only because my balls atrophied to the point where they hardly take up any space at all in my girlfriends purse.

I think the track thing is great. Enjoy.

That's a pretty sweet run. I'm overdue for getting back to the track myself and seeing those pics is a good kick is the butt. I know how fun it is in a car. Running a bike has got to be an epic rush.

I agree my need for adrenaline sometimes out ways my brains, buts such a rush with your heart beating and blood pumping and thats just sitting and the tree "starting line " cant even explain the rush going threw ya when ripping threw the1/4 mile and yes the track helps keeping me more tame when im on the street

Thanks ya its so much fun I cant wait to run again. I just prepped my bike and safety checked it so im ready Next week im going on the full track for a road course run .

I was out on Road America 2 years back, and had so much fun... I was invited by my buddy that run the Harley dealership in my town which also sells Buelll, Buell rented the whole track for the Day, as they were showing off their up and coming new bike at the time - the 1125R... It was super cool, free food and track time all day long

I got to spend the entire day on the track with both my bike (Yamaha FJR 1300) and the 1125R !!! I put on 140 miles on the track that day, and let me tell you - I was freakin exhausted , but a day I will not soon forget.... I had both bikes up past 140 and hit 150 with mine, which is pretty much top speed... Lots of fun... My bike was still faster then the 1125R, even though it is a freakin TANK at 200lbs heavier... Go Yamaha !!!!

Thanks Ya I cant wait to go back, the fastest I had my bike was 165mph down the straight, I could of went faster but it was the first time on the track and wright after the straight is turn 9, a sharp right hand turn and everything was blurry lol and was having problems seeing the brake markers. I was exhausted to and I was only on the track for 20 minutes lol my jaws hurt, I must of been biting down ha ha and and after I pulled of the track I had what felt like charlie horses in my jaw Next time i'll try and be a little more relaxed instead of ha ha

Dang thats a lot of miles on a crotch rocket Most I went was around 250 including twisties and I was hurting but it was worth it . Nine more days and i'll be on the track again Have fun on your trip bro and be safe !!!
