Short and sweet.

It was the worst Terminator film. I loved the other Terminator movies. Terminator 2 is probably my favorite movie of all time. But this one bombed for me and the wife. We both agreed that Bales was a very poor choice for the lead. I would have liked to see an unknown take on the role of John Connor. That's one of the reasons I like T3.

With "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" getting cancelled by Fox, looks like the franchise has jumped the shark. :(:(:(

What??? Next season will be boring?

Did this connect at all with The Sarah series? If not, where is the series and T3?

T:S ties in with the last movies. T:TSCC goes down a totally different path. It's a shame they cancelled the show right when it was getting really interesting.

Thanks. I don't know what I'll be watching next season;) Maybe read a good book:D

Too bad there are two paths then. Maybe we need a 3rd path?

It's no Batman: Dark Night, but it was fun to watch. Now if Hollywood could get it's act together and make another Jurrasic Park that would be great.

I saw it and overall thought it was entertaining. There were weak moments with Kyle Reese and the Skynet computer talking but it wasn't as bad as the critics are claiming. Its bizzare to me how this movie and Wolverine got a 30% on Rotten Tomatoes while Star Trek is over 95%.

I was disappointed that this movie had no tie in at all with the Sarah Conner show. I am also disappointed to hear that show will be canceled for the 3rd season. I preferred it over Heroes which lately isn't saying much.

I will wait a few days to discuss this movie further as I don't want to reveal any spoilers.

Just saw it. Garbage editing and directing. Very choppy and the whole thing seemed like it was made around explosions.

One thing for sure though: War of the World has been permanently dethroned bass-wise.

Blue I agree that the audio effects were superb! ;);) At times, it really hurt my ears.:eek: Over all, I thought it was a good entertaining movie. Like any film, there were things that could have been done better. It tied in to the former Terminators movies, which was a bit of a surprise.

I have to disagree. T3 is still easily the worst movie of the bunch. It was a blatant attempt to cash in and it didn't even do that well.

Although one scary thing is that so far, Night at the Museum 2 has made more money than Salvation

John, I don't doubt it that Night at the Museum 2 took in more money. The reason being, I have never seen so many teens in one place at one time in my life! There were several schools there to see Night at the Museum 2! Also, the Terminator:Salvation showing was not very crowded which surprised me.:confused: Especially, on a holiday weekend.:eek: Perhaps, the Terminator thing is getting old to some. As for me, I really liked it and thought it was quite entertaining.

Cheers,

Phil

right before i watched T3 (it WAS titled: rise of the machines) ... i had always wished for a future based terminator movie. T3 didn't deliver though ... but it was fun to have another terminator to watch.

this was supposed to be the answer. unfortunately, McG = Charlie's Angels so my hopes were almost never up. almost.

I liked all the Terminator movies, including the TV show but John Conner was always portrayed as a winey wimp until Sarah Conner Chronicles and the latest movie using Chistian Bale. T2 was great but the whine of Eddy Furlong got old fast. I loved seeing the zombie like early Terminators in this movie. Imagine the horror of living in that type of reality? On the way home I was extra nice to my car :)

Good. Maybe that will buy you a few milliseconds when the revolution begins.

Imdb has it at 7.4 now, it was at 7.7 a few days ago. I am definitely looking forward to it anyway.

I saw this on Friday afternoon...All and All I give the movie a B-...it's not as good as the first 2 IMO, but better than T3..The acting is not as bad as some critics have said..The new Star Wars trilogy had the most wooden acting ever created! ( and I'm a BIG SW fan ). I know there will probably be at least one more Terminator movie, but I enjoyed this one...and like some others mentioned I'm disappointed that the TV show was cancelled my wife and I actually enjoyed it alot!
