After watching the latest episode this past Wednesday night, I would have to agree. That is, someway somehow John Locke is Jacob. Either that, or Jacob doesn't exist.:confused: Things are really getting to be quite interesting. Anyone else here agree that John Locke really is Jacob? If not, what is YOUR take on the show?

Cheers,

Phil
richard looked surprised when locke told him to go heal the older locke. i dont think he would be surprised if he knew locke was jacob lol :p
...but thats just my view on it. but if richard has never seen locke either than that changes everything. we just know ben hasnt seen jacob.

does anyone know who christian is? did i miss something in an earlier episode?

Or, is Jack & Claire’s father Jacob? Didn’t think of that one, did ya?

The other thing I want to know is, will the season end before or after the bomb is exploded?

True, but Richard seems to suffer a bit from amnesia at times. At least, that is the case with all of the time traveling. Both Ben and Richard know "something" that nobody else seems to know. However, John Locke seems to be very suspicious of Ben for some reason or another. Perhaps, John Locke somehow assumes the role of Jacob, which in turn, surprises both Ben and Richard alike. Who really knows where this is going? ;);)

Locke isn't Jacob - Jacob has been on the island for a VERY long time.

Great question. I say it will explode, but will have to wait until next season to find out the full ramifications. You know, always having a carrot in front of your face so to speak. ;);) We are at a time when things are really getting interesting to say the very least. Hopefully, some questions will be answered.

Okay... I've digested the episode. I watched it Wednesday night. I rewatched it therafter. I thought about it for a few days. I watched it again in bed the night before. Hmm. Watched it again last night.

And I have decided...

That I haven't a clue what is going to happen next.

There could be ANYTHING. And I've decided not to talk about it until the (I don't often use caps, but... man...) LOST SEASON 5 SEASON FINALE - WEDNESDAY May, 13th 2009 8/7cst

Jack's father is only a messenger for Jacob (I don't remember which episode it said this in.. hold on, let me go to LostPedia... ... ... - http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Christian_Shepard- Season 4, The beginning of the end... the following conversation happens between locke and him...
(And this is from memory, so don't take me word for word on this...)

Locke: Are you Jacob?

Christian: No... but - I can speak on his behalf.

So that rules out the Christian idea.

I believe... that the season ends after the bomb explodes (if it does at all)...

Back in Season 2, the blast door map from the Swan indicated that an 'incident' occured on the island in 1977.

From this picture:

I would like to assume that "the tunnels" mentioned in the last episode come somewhere underneath the incident room, where it detonates and takes out whatever that room may house.

I know I wasn't supposed to discuss this :p , but I just couldn't really help myself!

Check this out:

SPOILER ALERT

This would also explain a lot from the previous seasons... when Sayid and Jack are beneath the Swan, checking things out... he says that the last time he saw anything like that... was Chernobyl... the atom bomb, coupled with the reactor that was used in harnessing the electromagnetic anomaly, needed to be closed off, and the station was instead re-converted into what it was in Season 2...

This may also be close to the time when The Others take control of Dharma (I personally think that is what happens... they leak inside and set things up - which would explain why The Others so easily got into the village during "The Purge"... Benjamin Linus was older, and he had been saved from death. He was somewhat in control there.

The next season may deffinetly be about The Others, and it may tie up a lot of questions about the island itself, and how the people play they're roles, but I don't think some of the "mysterious" questions will ever be answered. Because that is what the island works off of, mystery... we are supposed to trust it just as John Locke trusts it - because that man has his s*** together!

I'm eagerly awaiting the next episode... "The Incident Pts. 1 & 2" (Yes! A two-houre finale!) :D :D

I too am awaiting the season finale. It looks quite interesting. However, many questions will remain unanswered. Some may never be as you eluded to earlier. Guess, we all will know sooner or later. ;);)

Absolutely Phil! Guess they have to keep us chasing the carrot so to speak. Trust me, they are cashing in too. Just look at how many commercials there are in each episode. Seems like more than in most tv shows, but I could be wrong. ;):);)

I thought that too... but I think it may just be the anxiety of having to sit through five thousand commercials just to be let down in an episode that delivers so much, yet so little :p

Amen bro amen! It drives me crazy to say the very least. I bet there is barely 30 minutes of the show during each episode. Heck, it may be even less than that. That sure is way too many commercials imho. Either way, I still watch regardless of my complaining. ;):D;)
