I completely forgot to post pictures of the car, sorry Jamie.

Little bit of a recap to explain the situation. My 91 Red hatchback needed a engine and a trans badly (or a rebuild, which would have cost the same amount as a new trans and engine that performed better). I had a shop looking for since last October, trying to find and SiR swap (1.6liter DOHC VTEC, 160hp). These engines came in the car in Japan and Europe, so it's a straight bolt in. However, they never found one. Even until a few weeks ago when i bought my new car, they did do jack. Now the "depression" has been bad for a lot of people, but if you have steady cash flow, it's the best time to buy anything. Lots of cars for sale on Vancouver Civics, one of them being another 91 hatch that I had always liked. It has a ZC swap (1.6 OHC non vtec) with the matching trans (shorter ratios) with stage two Colt Cams. The car has a custom white with silver pearl paint job, and some other goodies as well.

Needles to say, the guy had to sell it because the with wouldn't let them have 3 cars. No one was buying, and it ended up going from $5500 to $2900. When i saw this, I asked him what was wrong, and decided to buy.

It's not perfect, it needs a trans rebuild (input bearing, axle seals), as well as an oil pan gasket, Valve cover gasket, and distributor o-ring. but other then that, it's in perfect shape. Change the oil, fire it up, and it stays golden clear.

Anywho, here is a few shots of it. I still don't have a good "complete" shot of the car, I'll get that when the weather improves.

 Looks better than the previous car and that is a good price. Looks like the interior is very clean. Are those Rotas or the real deal (something forged at least)? Congrats!

I told you what I got my car for, WITH the LE-37s

No, you sold it?

I'm surprised you didn't catch it, the passenger and rear seats are from a 92-95 Si.

These are Konig Helium's, so not really a knock off on anything, but they do resemble a Mugen C28 VERY closely. Best part, 11lbs each. Not forged, but at $125 a pop, you can easily replace one if you bend it.

This also have the ZC hood with the cam gear bulge. Again, I need better pictures to show you.

Nope, the rear seats completely missed that. I knew that pic was there for a reason though :) 11lbs is good for a rim that isn't forged, and $125 is good for a light rim. I never weighed them without the tires, but the LE37s are around 10lbs for a 16" rim.

Yes, I'd like to see the hood. ZC is a good motor.

I didn't sell mine, I sold the other one that was the stock automatic. My daughter's friend fell on some hard times and needed a car, so I sold it to him. What I was saying was, I got my car for less than you paid for that one with the LE37s  Back when I was looking for one of those as a second car, a friend had a PRISTINE black 92 Si with low miles and he wanted $6K for it!!!!

Are those Recaros?

The front passenger is a 92-95 Si, and the driver is a Bride VIOSIII Replica (legit Bride rails though).

I was thinking of leasing an IS350, but I want to move out, and that would definitely kill the plan. :D

The classic choice between spending your cash on a nicer car or on a nicer place to live. I side with you on this one - I'd rather have my own pad.

The real question, though, is what does L prefer? :)

BTW, those IS350s are sweet. I went to look at some a month or so ago. They didn't have the 350, but they had the 250. I got in a white one with maple trim. That was almost a $40k mistake, as it was almost perfect for me. Luckily the door had a scuff on it, so I mentally wrote that car off. I still have yet to test drive either one - the price tag is way above what I'd like to spend.

Good choice buddy. I have and will never buy a new car. I have had great luck with Honda's my whole life. I bought an 89 Acura Legend LS out here in CA for 1400. It has 215,000 miles on it and it does 120 MPH I get 24 miles per gallon and runs as smooth as my 99 Accord. I would always say buy Honda used or now Acura as well..... Its always better to get a pad B as that is the place your audio gear resides.....:D;)

I think L would prefer the pad. I can always use work cars with L. Ohh the secrets.

I would skip the 250, it's gutless. That's why I would have leased a 350, and then hand very little leftover for moving out.

That's a nice clean car Brian. And it looks like a pretty good price on this side of the border. Americans are just so used to having everything they want inexpensively and readily available. It's hard to find a good clean ride for a decent price up here.

Couldn't agree more. It has high mileage though (420,000km on the chassis, 220,000km on the engine ) He rebuilt the engine before he swapped it.

I'm not really a Honda dude, but I would rock the **** out of that car.

And as far as us "Americans" getting cheap rust free cars as someone else said... yeah. Maybe in California... but not Indiana and farther up North.

I like those rims, and they look good on there. Always liked bronze on a white car. Gotta get some black lugs though, the chrome ones stand out.

I saw the real rails, but wasn't sure about the seat; could have been Bride, Sparco, Recaro, etc...

I figured out what's wrong with it. It's a Civic someone tried to put money in to.
