I'm pretty sure the iPhone headset mic thingie can be used with the latest generation iTouch.

There are also two other apps that I know of - probably for more than $0.99:

Faber Acoustical's "SoundMeter"
Studio Six Digital's "SPL"
thanks, :)

that studio six "spl meter" is an older applet by the same co,I liked the newer version and look better, the one I have by that same co is cool because they added the function of the app spinning upright when you turn the phone upside down to point the mic.

but I hadn't seen that faber acoustical app. :)

I wish someone would make one for the Blackberry Storm. It would be fun to play around with and see how acurrate it is. No Iphone for me unless it ever gets to Verizon. AT&T service is horrible around here.

How does that thing compare to my Radioshack one?

If it's as good, That'd be really nice to have instead of having to carry one more thing to set up a room.

I LOVE it. Now, if there's a way to use a plug-in to compensate for the mic inaccuracies, and a way to send output, it'd be perfect... ;)
