I just completed the upgrade to my HT. I have wire cleanup and need to run the wires for the rear channels into the wall yet but here it is as it sits now.

Equipment list:

Samsung 50inch HPS5073 Plasma
Marantz SR5003 7.1 Receiver
Sony BDP-S550 Blu-Ray
Apple TV 160gig
Harman Kardon 5 disc CD player
Motorola HD DVR
Klipsch RF-82 Mains
Klipsch RC-64 Center
Klipsch RS-42 surround's
Klipsch RS-42 Rear Channel - single channel mode
2 - AV123 MFW-15 Subwoofer's - Moho Rosa Satin

1957 RCA Victor B&W TV still being used today!

I have to run the wires into the wall, this will be done soon.

Nice system, whew those subs gotta "boom" that room.
I love looking at the "nick nacks" and other decorations in the room(s). It fills in a bit more than the speakers, etc.
I think my parents had a set just like that when I was a kid.
How do you like the Marantz receiver?

We watch The Honeymooners, The Twilight Zone and other b&w shows on it. It just doesn't make sense watching those shows on a high dev plasma! :)

The bass is incredible and not over powering at all, just tight and clean, I love it.

Thanks! The wife was in shock when the 1st one showed up, you can imagine the look on her face when the second one showed up! :D

Actually, she knew it was coming but hoped I was kidding.

Nice setup, awesome subs,I even like the willowtree pieces.

I keep thinking I should have gotten the SR6003 but not for any technical reason. I think the SR5003 is better than it's numbers and this system has hit 115db with it. I have hit 117db but not with the subs placed this way.

I think I prefer it this way, very smooth tight and when needed intense. I also have some older Marantz gear from the mid 1070's and love that gear as well. Oh, plus I have an SR-18EX THX Ultra that I won't ever sell, that thing is a tank and sounds so clean, gotta love it.

Why is the center channels on many systems so huge?? You're less than 15 feet from it... lol.

Nice!

The vintage looks like the same TV as one from the DVE disk.

That speakers is friggin huge, I thought it would shatter the glass table top! Thankfully the glass is thick, tempered and has rubber feet, also I have no feet on the speaker so the weight is evenly distributed. If I could fit an RF-82 on the table for a center channel I would have tried it! :D

It sounds incredible and VERY natural. Blends in the with RF-82 mains very nicely.

I have the Blu-Ray DVE disk, I didn't see it there, I'll have to check. The TV's picture reminds me of why people were trying so hard to get a better one when color came out. Yet here I am trying to re-create what it looks like back in the 50's.

My father in law thinks I'm crazy. :)

It's all perspective, male voices sound like they should and lion growls with that center hit you with impact even without a sub in the system.

A small system with a good subwoofer in play can do a great job as well! Nice set up by the way!

That's one really nice system you're running. My current computer set up is the Klipsch iFi and it blows me away.

Is there any way of bringing the subs in closer to the left and right side of the TV stand so you can pull the left and rights out wider to open up the sound stage.
