Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and taste, no matter how many disagree. That's the mark of a truly free society. :)

Seriously, I have no life.
The thing I haven't read in a long time is that economists almost never agree on anything.

Reasons why I support these "Tea parties".

You cannot solve the debt crisis by creating more debt, this applies to the blue collar worker all the way up to fortune 500 companies and the government, this little tidbit is completely obvious to some, lost on the government. Obama has appointed some of the same people to his cabinet who were responsible for the debt crisis to begin with and if that doesn't raise any red flags, someone is grossly uninformed.

The bailouts and so-called stimulus packages will create debt so burdensome that it cannot be paid back by the current generation. Creating such debt is truly taxation without representation for future generations. These bailouts are the biggest heist in history and this corruption will cause hyperinflation, destruction of the middle class and will concentrate ALL the county's wealth in the hands of the financiers.

I do not work 12-14hrs a day to support failing business with my tax dollars and my daughter shouldn't have to either.
Once again we play right into the hands of the REAL leaders of this country. The Federal Reserve. This is EXACTLY what "they-the Fed" want. They don't want us to be able to pay for things ourselves they want everyone it debt which is whats happening to our country right now. This same thing has gone on many times since we became a country. The higher ups in the finacial world here in the US (mainly the Fed) have us right where they want us and its pretty sad to see this happen AGAIN......I am not spewing about the bailout but the way the Fed controls OUR money. Amazing that as soon as a $1 bill is made and released to our current system it already has interest on it. So that means EVERY single dollar that goes into our money system already has interest on it and where does the money to pay the interest come from?????????

More red chicklets... I could really care less about how many rep points I have... so red chicklet away... but why do you feel the need to hide your identity? That's what I find amusing. Be bold, reach down and pull out your tampon and stand by what you say.

I could not agree more Chris. If someone gives out a red chicklet they should sign it period.

I'm more of a coffee person myself, but I'll have some tea now and again.

[Nope - nothing political to say at all. Carry on. :)]

What makes it so good? Does she add spices or a certain type of sweetener?

I have some hot tea around here, but I don't know if I've ever had any good hot tea, so I'm curious what I might be able to do to step it up a level. I do like iced tea quite a bit. Sun tea is also good, but I haven't had that in many years (due to laziness, as I live in the so-called sunniest city in America :)).

We use Gevalia Select Green Tea, with my current favorite kind at the moment is the "China Mountain Green". I use a packet of Splenda and some half & half to get it just right.

Different thread and the usual cast of characters .... Some people need to get a life.
Some people feel that their way of life is at stake, I don't believe ignoring a problem makes it go away. You responding to this thread in such a way is pointless and disheartening to me and those that value freedom. People that don't care about their freedom deeply concern me. It's that mentality that has crippled us so much.

....unless you where just being sarcastic, which doesn't help either.;)

On point Seth. Our family gave a total of $8,911 to charity this year...which doesn't include the kids outside the grocery store which we never ignore, odd ball events through our company and a lot of my time (which I consider priceless because I have little of it these days)

Ironically, when all the new taxes start to hit and the existing tax breaks are taken away, we stand to lose about that same amount by our CPA's estimates.

So yeah, I'm involved in politics because these thing affect my family in a real way. On the indirect way, the administration weakens our country by apologizing and allowing our very worst enemies to stand with us as equals.

My sister is one of those poeple who just can't be bothered and has her head in the sand. My brother is a poser who's yet to make a smart or successful decision in his life, so he's all for penalizing those who've worked hard to become successful and afford themselves a good life if it'll make his life easier. He thinks I "have it too good and it's not fair" yet he has no clue the effor it takes to be successful. He wants all the accolades with none of the responsibility or accountability. He can't hold a job, thinks everyone has it out for him, and thinks everyone owes him a living. He's your typical failure who latches on to liberal ideas because he can't succeed on his own. So of course he and those like him join the bandwagon of finding a scapegoat for their own personal failures. I had an eye opening conversation with him and told him that if he wants me penalized for being successful then it'll likely cost him a lot more than he'll gain from the government because he won't be able to sponge the couple thousand a year off me that he does because I won't have it to give. He didn't like the sound of that too much.

Seth, if the OP's motive was regarding that protest I would've had no problem with! However he brought up race in his next post and that is why I took offense! BTW he's brought up that issue on other occasions and IMO RACISM is not a word that should be taken lightly! Now if you follow his points further in the thread you'll see what I'm alluding to and where he headed:(.

Regards, Bill
PS: I enjoy this forum too much to get myself into hot water, but if you follow certain peoples comments you'll see a trend and for me thats disheartening:(.

I was making a point. Apparently 'Playing the Race Card' is a technique that's only allowed to be used by the Left.
If (just for sake of discussion) FOX news characterized the same group of black people as a bunch of "angry black people"
What would be your reaction? Honestly?

Any, and all times I've mentioned race was to show the double standard that exists.
Racism is a two way street.

I'm sure you have being the subject of racism:rolleyes:?
And Yes, I have personally experienced Racism, for many years.
Government mandated racism, something called Affirmative Action.

I'll bet there are other members that have experienced the same as I.

I would suggest, that if we have any further issues in the future. That we PM each other and get to understand the other's
POV.
I'm at fault, for expecting people to read between the lines, in many of my posts.

I may be wrong, but I seem to viewed by a few that don't know me, as a Right winger.
I'd like to assure you, that I am not.

I've taken the best point of both Left and Right and I've been a Libertarian for many years.

Apparantly some believe that only whites can be racist. Beliefs are all well and good, but that doesn't replace reality.

I've been hit with the ugly end of that stick myself. You would be surprised at how many were but just don't realize it.

Racism goes both ways and it's ugly no matter the direction. Again, I'll submit that everyone want to be equal to one another unless there's a benefit not to be. We're on this kick at our company to bring more women into management... in an industry that's not at all equal in gender. Suddenly, many of the women are quite content being treated as a unique group with their own different set of rules, requirements, and expectation.

PM's will not be necessary and I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but your view on Racism surely differs, from mine;)! As for the argument of being impartial the fact that you're a libertarian is enough for me!:)
PS: here's an good analogy.... if your a Yankee fan you'll never support the Red sox's and don't give me that left and right arguement.:D

I'm sure racism is a 2 way street. However people of colour deal with what you've experienced, as well, as the colour barrier.

Chris your much to smart for that using that example. Its not about racism but equality and IMO that is a entirely different issue.;)
